I've got to admit, I really liked Ainge on talk radio. His insight into the game seemed so much more in depth than someone on the outside looking in.

With that said, I'm really liking his breakdown segments on TBJS. I think that while Butch and Bob are trying to keep their explanations as elementary as possible for the general public, he get's a bit deeper in his breakdowns of the plays.

It's also apparent that although his NFL career was lackluster, he still really knows his stuff.

Kudos to Ainge. I'd like to see more breakdowns from him.

Totally agree! Makes me realize how much thought process goes into the heads of these 18-22 year old KIDS. It's not as simple as drawing a play in the dirt with a stick anymore.

I thought this as well while I watched. Spurrier had a lackluster NFL career. Ainge may make a coach.

I wish they would do a lot more of that break down segment. If I have to watch much more of that crap where BUtch talks about the plays while they keep hitting rewind , im gonna throw up.

Ainge is clearly a very intelligent guy. I think he has some maturity issues, but I think he'd make a great tv analyst.

I kind of like the fact that he still jokes around a bit. His comment on Maybin, and his observations of the sideline reaction after the win were hilarious.

I'll agree w. above, I have no freakin idea how these kids keep this stuff straight while carrying a full class load....

Unless your Josh Dobbs....I fully understand that.

EA was always good in classroom. When coached with Cutcliffe he was great. That getting rid of ball in LSUs end zone were lack of good coaching, not lack of intelligence. EA raves of all the things he learned from Cutcliffe. It validates why Peyton reveres Cutcliffe. On the Ainge show on Tennessee Sports radio he often broke down the differences of blocking schemes, spread, zone read to others. I like that he wasn't worried about political correctness and just said things the way they are. The only problem I ever had with EA from media perspective was his bashing of Heather Harrington and her alleged DUI situation. Now granted I'm not a fan of hers as I think she usually knows less than she thinks. But with EAs background with addiction I wouldn't have touched that subject.

Ainge is good enough to be on a major network somewhere. Would be an outstanding color analyst IMO.

Not sure if you know this, Dobbs is not the only engineering student on the team. TKJ is a Biomedical Engineering student athlete.

Agree, I would enjoy watching him as a color analyst. I like the young man, and I'm glad I haven't had to live my life in the public eye.

Heather deserves every moment of his discussion about her DUI.

The repeated back and forth play reviews gives me vertigo! A few back and forth's would be "OK". But above four times is really really terrible viewing. What a "dud" show the Butch Jones Show is! Last year too much on the team eating. And this year too much "back and forth" viewing.

Wants to be an orthopedic surgeon iirc.

You are correct about TKJr. Also Vereen is a Computer Sciences Engineering major. He wants to develop computer games and start his own business.

We can question calls from the coaching staff on Saturdays , but you can't question the "STUDENT" in Student Athelete with this staff.

GBO!!!!

Yeah he definitely knows his stuff but would it kill him to dress up, stop turning his back to the camera and maneuver around the screen like a weatherman. I can't believe no one has pointed that out to him yet.

Alex Ellis is an engineering major as well.

Very impressive young men, indeed. You can see that while there have been extreme growing pains, the caliber of student athlete has greatly improved.
