I dunno. Im hopin that they can get him in there some. I just keep thinking to myself that this was the same guy that lead us to wins over florida, georgia, and bama last year. and hes barely seen the field at all this year

Would it really hurt anything to start him and see what happens? I would like to see if he has anyhting. Or even let RC throw it on a less than spectacular def this weekend. I would like to see a WR step it up this weekend. Whatever happens

GO BIG ORANGE

I am starting to get my spirit back. One day at time...

I donno... but I'd really like to see him. Here that coach?! Put Ainge in... I'm not a fan of RC. Or, I wouldn't mind seeing Cooter either. Something better than RC would be nice. Sure, he can make some decent plays, but I don't think he has the talent that Ainge does.

:banghead: The green jerseys in practice have to go. It's Football, it's a contact sport. Our receivers are soft. They are afraid of getting hurt. Their focus isn't catching the football, it's not getting hit hard.

Our defense is awesome, do we not practice 1st team offense vs. 1st. team defense? If our offense can play with our defense then they can play with anybody.

We don't have playmakers on this team because the coaches refuse to put them in situtations to be successful. Green Jerseys, Hand Clapping by Fulmer on bad plays. Same lame excuses every week. One or two games with stupid mistakes and yeah it's the players not executing, but game after game it becomes a coaching problem. We;ll see what kind of a coach Fulmer really is after this seaseon. Does he make changes and demand excellence from his assistants and players or does he just clap his hands and continue to make excuses? :banghead:

Last year Fulmer made it a point to minimize the use of the evil green jerseys to toughen up the team. This year he pulls them back out in order to keep his team healthy. What good does it do to limit contact if your healthy players play soft?

Purely from a perspective concerned with the future, we have to get Ainge into the game. He must get some playing time so that his confidence returns.

I, for one, don't want to go into another season with quarterback leap-frog. :banghead:

Ainge offers a far better opportunity for us to open up and spread out the field. Every team we have and will play knows that we have no offensive threat more than 8-10yards beyond the line of scrimmage. With Ainge, an element of possibility at least exists.

Get him on the field.

Pound the Rock and Run to Victory :run: :td:

Don't know and don't care. Rick is our starting QB and Ainge is 2nd string. If Clausen dies then Ainge can play.

By dies I mean getting run over by a LB and having to be carried off the field, not actually being dead. That would be wrong.

Why is it that everyone that I know that played college football, or knows anything about college football tells me that Clausen is just not that good?

clausen is one of the smartest players i think to ever come through ut but just doesnt have all that much physical ability. this can be good against some teams and bad against others. we need to stretch the field at times

Play whichever quarterback gives the Vols the best chance to beat South Carolina. Winning the remaining games is still very important.

The bigger picture right now is recruiting.

In the SEC, we don't want Spurrier to get any more than he can with just his name. South Carolina is 4-3 overall and tied with Tennessee at 2-3 in the SEC East. After Tennessee, SC plays Arkansas, Florida and Clemson. Prediction: 6-5

Florida is 5-2 with upcoming games against Georgia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Florida State. A couple more losses will do wonders for Meyer's recruiting. Prediction: 8-4 (with loss in SECCG)

Georgia is sitting at 7-0, but without Shockley may be in for 2 straight losses. They still play Florida, Auburn, Kentucky and a good Georgia Tech team. Prediction: 8-3

If UT can beat the teams its supposed to beat (SCarolina, Memphis, Vandy, and Kentucky) and also upset Notre Dame they'll finish 8-3.

ood luck with that. ND will beat us by 24 or more and this is the year where Fulmer loses to a "cupcake."

ND will beat us by 24? That would mean they would have to score at least 24. That is ignorant. For all the criticism the offense is getting (and rightfully so) the defense is not getting their due. UTK has a Top 5 Defense nationally (Top 3 before Allen injury). There is no way in a blue moon that ND will beat UTK by 24. It might be 14 or 17 to nothing, at the most.

Problem is that he's not the same guy. He's scared. Losing his spot, failure, getting hurt again.......something and as I have said before you can put a fork in him. He's done.
