Ainge will play on Sundays

The man was talking NFL not college. Vince's college crap isn't translating so well in the NFL to date.

Well if he is not as good as he was in college, then he will not be as good as he is in the NFL. Simple economics!!! If agree with the other guy, the only way Ainge plays on Sunday's is with the Arena Football Leauge, or CFL.

Whats Strange about that? HE IS A HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER!!! Erik never came close to winnning the heisman!!! Some people are just dumb!!!

there have been Heisman winners who have never played a down after college. It has nothing to do with predicting NFL success.

He also played for 2min against what amounted to Indy's scout team.

Young didn't win a Heisman.

Erik Ainge will be a lifetime back-up who might get a series of games to show he's not worth being #1. He'll be an AJ Feeley 4 lyyyyyyyyyfe.

Great analogy. Compare Brady's college numbers to his pro numbers. You idea works great.

I Keep trying to like the Titans but theres always someone that turns me off. Jones the last few years, I said was more of a problem than a help, and now young. He can't throw he has no touch on the ball to get it to drop into a receivers hands. All the people that complain about his throwing style are correct.

No way Ainge can deal with the speed of the pro game. Even Peyton said that he had trouble his first two years dealing with the speed of defenses. Also, the first time one of those huge d lineman drives his shoulder into the ground, Ainge will be going to the hospital!

Ainge has the talent for the NFL but lacks the mindset. Fear of taking a hit and getting hurt damaged his play with the Vols, and will be more pronounced at the next level. I don't think he plays on Sundays in any venue.

Peyton spoiled every Vol fan to the point of ridiculous. I admit it. I'm totally spoiled when it comes to QBs. Ainge did nothing to help me get over it and he contributed to my basic desire for a better QB at Tennessee. They are out there, just not at UT. That hurts Fulmer and Cut.

As for defense: I am stunned at the lack of size, combined with lack of speed, of our front seven. I know it's popular football think to recruit speed, but speed and size is the name of the game if you want to survive in the SEC and beyond. Where is the Haynseworth monster from this team?

Agreed. I like Ainge and think he's had some great games but I always cringe when I see him try to run past the line of scrimmage because I have no confidence that he can (or will) take a hit. He looks too fragile and scared to make it in the NFL but you never know.

Vince Young isn't "trying" to be a pocket passer. He is being forced into it like Michael Vick was. His touch is really awful. They complained about his throwing motion and they said "Hey he's fine with it.." He's not fine at all with his current accuracy. It was fine for his numbers to stink when they were winning at the end of last season, but they're definitely not winning games because of him now. That Defensive Line is keeping them above .500

If not more so than QBs (Peyton) we got enormously spoiled with DTs. Haynesworth, Henderson, etc have completely spoiled us. Bolden has the size (they were both around 300-310 here and bulked up to 330ish at Pro level) but I don't think he has the drive. Both of those guys were enormous and had a VERY nasty side.

They are similar, but I think Ainge probably has a better arm than David Greene.

That pick 6 Ainge threw in the SECCG was about as much his fault as the first pick 6 O'Donnell threw against the Cowboys the SB.

I just think it is absurd how much blame he is getting on that one. I leaned over to my brother in law 15 seconds before that pick 6 and told him this would be a GREAT time to for a receiver to run a double move with Ainge throwing a pump fake and then deep. But, we got Cutcliffe, so we got what we got.

I think that the Titans are trying to make Young a pocket Passer and it's not working. Yesterday, there were 3 or 4 times when he needed 2 or 3 yds for a first down and threw an incomplete pass. It looks like they are asking him to throw more and run less. In fact, I heard Fisher on the radio a week ago and he was bragging about Vince Young having a better completion rate than phillip Rivers. If they will let Young run when he needs to, he will be a great QB and the Titans will be a playoff team. If they try and make him a pocket passer, the Titans will be lucky to win 4 games a year. The game yesterday was lost because of conservative playcalling late in the game. I felt sorry for the Titan defense after they played their butts off the whole game. It was kind of like the Patriots/Ravens game last week where the defense had to make stop after stop and you knew if the offense couldn't get a first down that the other teams offense would eventually score and win.

One thing is for sure, if Ainge makes it to the pros, he will set records for fewest sacks and most thrown away balls. This guy refuses to stay in the pocket, wait for a receiver to get open, and take a hit after delivering the pass.
