Ainge vs Tebow, who would you choose for the 2007 season?

Any BCS conference school has a shot at the NC.

Name me one year in your lifetime that UT has not at least two quality recievers - just one. They are Wide Reciever U for crying out loud. UT has plenty of talent at the position, ye of little-to-no faith.

2005

Are you people serious? Tim Tebow can throw the ball. He has played two exceptional spring games. He saw significant playing time last year against W. Carolina. Yes, that was W. Carolina a division 2 school. He holds the florida high school record for passing yards. He's very mobile. And another thing, he isn't fragile (See E. Ainge) Oh yeah, let's not forget how clutch Tebow was last year when his number was called. His team hasen't lost to Vanderbilt in the last 20 years either.:dance2:

You shall see sooner rather than later on a Saturday afternoon in Gainseville.

That's dumb. Stop using the "he was clutch last year when he number was called" arguments. He didn't throw it once in those "clutch" situations. Throw the ball - yeah that's pretty important for a quarterback.

Congrats two good spring games and decent stats against W. Carolina... I'd give him more credit for the spring game rather than a crappy W. Carolina team. :eek:lol:

How can you say he didn't throw the ball in clutch situtations? Did you even watch the LSU game? How about your boy Ainge last year against Florida. Game on the line, clutch situation what happens. He throws a pick and the game is over. Tebow also has a veteran offensive line returning to provide him with plenty of time to hit his recievers. Everyone who plays Florida fears Tebow and you're lying if you say you don't.

...and you are lying to yourself if you pretend that you know what is going to happen when Tebow has to manage the offense. Personally, I think he'll do well, but it's not like we've seen anything long term to give us any indication of what will happen.

I don't fear Tebow and I'm not lying. I am worried(not fearing) about Florida's WRs and their O-line.....

We had no running game against you all. Ainge obviously couldn't handle the whole load. The game was over after the intentional grounding call so it was more of a desperation INT buddy. And if you call that pass against LSU a pass it clearly shows how delusional you are.

Or maybe I should rephrase it - Tim Tebow hasn't thrown a pass to a player in a big time situation where the receiver wasn't wide open. He's by far one of the most overrated quarterback in CFB because he has only thrown 30 something odd passes. No one on here says (or atleast means to) that he sucks at passing or can't. We all said he hasn't proved that he can. Time will tell.

I'm not talking about the hook shot TD pass. I'm talking about the 35yard toss to Louis Murphy so I'm not being delusional. With Tebow you have a dual threat. His legs will set up the pass just as the pass will set up the run. Florida's offense will be much more potent than last seasons with Tebow at the healm. He has the supporting cast to be very successful. But I will agree that time will tell.

Tebow attempted 10 passes in SEC play.

Yes - Reread my post - I covered that pass.... I said show me a pass where Tebow threw in a big game where the guy wasn't wide open (for example - which is your only example... a 35 yard TD pass to a WIDE OPEN no one with in 15 yards type pass).

That takes little to no skill on the college level. If Tebow couldn't hit that pass he didn't even deserve a scholarship to some where like UTChattanooga or Memphis. Heck even I could've thrown the pass to that guy he was so wide open.

In the future it won't fake the secondary out so much because he will be passing more often as a starter. They hadn't seen him pass at that point (except WKU and a pass here and there) so it caught them "extremely" off-guard. So basically it comes down to how well Tebow makes decisions and reads coverages to determine how good he will be in the future.

South Carolina and SOS dont fear Tebone. I think Jasper Brinkley and our defense cant wait until he makes the stupid mistake and trys to run the ball. And as far as his passing ability goes. He only was put into the game when urban myth thought that the situation was favorable to his strengths. ie run dont think, run, dont read, run dont think, just run.:salute:

Tim Tebow, certainly. Since Erik Ainge is obviously THE WORST PLAYER IN TENNESSEE HISTORY. Duh.

Not the worst ever. Just one of the worst starting QB's in 30-35 years going back to Condredge Holloway. Pat Ryan and Jeff Francis may be worse. But Ainge's legacy will always be LSU 2005 and of course the injuries...

Obsession is never pretty.

Great come back.

By mid-October, you will be seeing just how right I have been over the past few months. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist either to predict any of what I said. It was so obvious. Ainge getting injured and Fulmer getting outcoached in a big game are common occurences.

We seen him stay healthy to til somebody called "Hail Mary" right before halftime of a game we were winning.

NO SHITE, as the English boys say. I too predicted that Ainge would get hurt, since he always does; I too expected that we would lose to UF and be behind the eight-ball already in September. These are not events that it took a super-genius to predict.

But you know what it takes to dredge up a half-dozen old threads so that you can throw your ancient predictions in the face of people, including moderators? A super troll. Congratulations; you excel at what you do.
