Ainge: "QB position is a question mark"

Still at it huh? Sounds like to me you have an agenda against former your vol players so that makes you a negavol!

I think he just has a little sand in his vag. Maybe he can PM (not PMS) one of the ladies on here and they can help him out.

Honestly, I don't see what bashing Ainge is accomplishing.

No.

For fks sake, i put a link and even gave the transcript. Either learn to click, read or something before posting like an ignoramus.

Give us Ainge and our 2010 or 2011 team, and we don't win 3 games. Put Bray on Ainge's teams, and we rule the SEC for four years.

Ainge was shlt.

You're pure hogwash. Watch some tape, kid.

Yep. Truth hurts, and I don't like to mention it very often...but we've got some inbred toothless m0rons among our fanbase, without a doubt. Maybe not as many as Alabama has, true...but we've got some.

(cues one to make some stupid comment right after this post)

Read what LWS posted, nerd.

Ainge was actually in the running for heisman after the SC game his senior year, but was hurt and missed a few games. Sounds like Negateer is a troll and living up to his name.

This guy is too emotional about what someone said about a 20 year old kid who has no idea who he even is.

I'm with #1ArencibiaFan. Even though not a UT fan, has a head on his shoulders. But who has 3,500 posts on this site but not a UT fan? Very interesting. I think Negateeer has like 3,500 posts in this thread. Why, why, why God why do i keep reading this thread?????????

I appreciate most people giving Ainge the credit he is due. The kid was pretty good. Bray is pretty good too but to say he will win championships in the NFL is a little premature.

What are you talking about? Nobody had him for consideration for the Heisman that year. Based off of what? If they weren't going to give Peyton the Heisman for losing to Florida, what makes you think that Ainge was actually a contender for the Heisman when he caused a fumble by putting the ball in Foster's chin strap?

What had Ainge done before the SC game that merited a Heisman nod? Are you serious?

Casey Clausen should have won the Heisman while at UT. He had ice in his veins. Nobody mentions him. Dude was a stud.

i've only skimmed this thread but grades and talent aren't the biggest threat to Bray not being the starting qb next season. For all those bashing Ainge's woes, you might want to dig a little deeper into your wonderboy Bray.

His grades are a far greater threat to his eligibility than his weed problem.

That quote hit the nail on the head. He was really good his Freshman year until he took the shot at the end of the half against Notre Dame. From that point on he played the rest of his career scared and throwing picks off of his back foot. He back pedaled better than our DB's and no concept of stepping up into the pocket to deliver a strike. I wouldn't want him on a powder puff team even though he would fit in. That is the main reason I got excited about Bray when he first came in he would step up in the pocket and make a throw knowing he was going to take a shot in the chin. I don't pretend to know how good Bray is going to be he may be the same way after the broken thumb. But I do know I wouldn't trade for Ainge!!!!!:machgun:

Couldn't be more wrong about Ainge. When Cut came back Ainge looked really good. He taught him how to read defenses, got his footwork corrected and was really good under CDC. We went to the SEC twice under Ainge. Who was the last QB for UT besides him to do that?

Did Ainge bone your girl?

No, seriously, where is Ras and what have you done with him?

I'm not about to read through this entire thread, but to the extent one or more people on here are "Ainge-bashing", it is because they believe a statement to the effect of "Ainge is better than Bray" to be completely ludicrous, and they are expressing that opinion.

I will express my opinion once more and then never return to this thread because it appears to be trending towards "dumpster fire" status:

Tyler Bray is a better QB than Erik Ainge. It isn't a close call.

Hard to compare the two QB's but remember Ainge had a running game behind him, and without a solid running game the passing game is just too predictable....
