I don't think that there is a question mark surrounding the QB position AT ALL. Not even close. In fact, I thought Worley looked terrible, and Peterman has yet to play a single down as a Vol.
That said, I don't think anyone can really argue that Tyler Bray is better than Ainge was. Ainge beat Florida, Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, Cal, and started in an SEC title game. Tyler Bray played well against Cincy, but past that all he's proven is that he could light up the scoreboard as a freshman against the 4 weakest opponents we played all year. He hasn't won an SEC game against anyone other than Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky. I know Ainge had Swain and Meachem, but he never had a duo like Hunter and Rogers, not to mention Bray also had Jones, DeMo, and Stocker as a frosh.
Before you get all pissy about Bray not playing defense, not folding in the second half, blah blah blah...you're right he didn't play defense, but he was the QB that couldn't manage more than 7 points against a horrible Kentucky team. Our defense got gashed by a receiver playing QB, because our offense couldn't keep them off the field.
Now I think Bray is our guy. I think he'll prove himself with a healthy thumb and Justin Hunter. He'll be fine, but don't go saying crazy things like he's a battle tested winner. If there is any question regarding Bray at QB it is how will he avoid a pass rush with Negateer hanging from his nutsack?
