Ainge just reported

I really don't know. I just found the show a couple months ago, live in middle Tennessee and had to find an alternative to 104.5. I listened to the Sports Animal for a while but I started feeling dumber so I had to find something else. Really enjoy listening to Eric so far.

the drive at 3pm is pretty good also.

I have saw some very disturbing comments on his situation but losing respect for someone making light hearted comments is a bit over the top as there is a difference. Waco, I do agree with most of what you said. If those people that make malicous comments could "walk a mile" as you said, they would think twice before judging.

I've walked 5 miles in Ange's shoes and you are right. Not so quick to judge. I'm in recovery (3 years) from the same stuff and no matter what anybody says, it's tough. Let's give the guy some credit. 90% (at least) of people don't ever clean up.

I was drinking the koolaide on best too until it was pointed out to me he has beaten nobody of high status.I do think he is good and hope he helps us win a SEC title at least.

I think Bray is gonna be a stud. Just hasn't proved it yet. Ainge wasn't the greatest, but he won some big games for us in his 4 years at UT.

Shannon is the man. Announcement today or tomorrow

He didn't REPORT anything.

He actually said that he HEARD Shannon is the guy. Pure SPECULATION.... No different than anything else that has come out.

I have no problem with you say Ainge heard RS will be the next DC....... but to say he REPORTED is 100% factually inaccurate.

I want Shannon to be the guy too but let the news make itself.

Good luck! Pulling for you and EA.

Ainge couldn't hold Bray's jock.

Bray flourishes under pressure. Ainge folded like a lawnchair. Bray has twice the arm. More accurate.

He also has more balls than Ainge.

Thank GOODNESS the Ainge days are over.

heh heh ...this guy is a real lunafreak

Bray threw an INT versus UNC in the bowl game(in over time), coming out of half at UF and at the end of the UK game. He didn't exactly flourish under that pressure.

Yes he did.

To give yo ua recap: Down 17-14 with 5 minutes left in the game, on national television, all the pressure on him...Bray calmy leads his team down the field for a TD, a big time pass over the middle to JHunter.

Then in the first overtime, he again throws for a TD. Finally, in the second OT, they go to the well once too often. That pick is on the coaches.

The reason we lost? Well, the kicker muffiing the extra point, janzen jackson hitting someone too hard (?) and the refs robbing us. That game is called correctly, and we never go to OT.

But Bray? He did exactly what he was supposed to do.

Ainge would have choked like a toothless old man on a 16 oz steak. With Ainge MChoker in there, the game wouldn't have been close.

Bray as a freshman > Ainge as a senior.

Bray was awesome in the Georgia and Kentucky game this year.

Vandy was a real work of art too.

And then you let everyone know that you don't have a clue.

I'm recovering too.Was on pain killers because of lupus. It sucks but thing are getting a lot better.Just hate all the money I had to waste just to get out of the bed each day just to be able to work.Never understand how We can go to the moon but they can't make a little pill affect you the way it does. They only work for a couple hours then you have to take more. Then your body gets use to them and you have to increase the amount.

Oh my

I think BOTH Bray AND Ainge are/were great qb's! They BOTH suit/suited up for the same team so why does this argument even matter? They both have given their all for Tennessee (If you don't believe the rumors that Bray quit during the KY game) so just be happy for that. You guys sound like fans of opposing teams arguing over whose qb is better. New question: Bray or Murray? ??

agree! ainge would have choked 100 times. bray is so much better than ainge; to argue ainge was better is retarded!

Stay strong, I've had close family go through the same thing.

Exactly.

Thank goodness he's gone. We're a worse team now, but at least we don't have to cringe everytime our QB drops back to pass.

I hear you. Just stay off of them and eventually you will get your natural strength back. It took me a full year to feel right again. But it can be done. Smooth sailing after year 1. You got this!

I am going to wait a few more games before I nominate him for sainthood.

Leave it to Vol nation to turn a semi announcement good news thread into a debate about QBs and Drug Rehab....or what have you done for me lately thread.....

woh woh woh.... this thread has turned into a Ainge vs. Bray thread??

Just so everyone's clear... Ainge >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bray.

And that's not a knock on Bray... Bray has shown potential and could be the better QB at some point. But to date he hasn't done anything. Ainge had his bad games but for the most part was a VERY solid QB.

He wasn't a bad QB, he just wasn't great. It also doesn't help who he followed. We had pretty high standards back then.

I think most people view him as the beginning of our slump, and it's only gotten gradually worse. Bray on a talent laiden team like Ainge was on would be lights out. Apples to oranges.

This team has got talent, it just doesn't have enough talent.

Clausen was a very good QB and I'd take him tomorrow in a heartbeat. Go look at his W/L record and stats. 2001 was one of the most unstoppable offenses UT has produced. Fulmer/Chavis got out-coached or Clausen would have led us to a NC as he he produced in well enough for us to win against UGA and LSU.

As of today: Clausen > Bray
