guy doesn't know crap from apple butter. ainge is a bench warmer and will never see the field in a real game. if he does the jets are in major trouble
So a statement of fact is belittling him. Lighten up Frances. If I wanted to belittle or bash him then him I might start a discussion about his 4 game suspension for the steroid policy violation.
It would be nice to get a 1st round pick for Vince Young, but in reality, the Titans would be lucky to get a 3rd... 4th would be more realistic. We will find out next fall.
Then we could get Erik to come to Nashville and be the heir apparent to Collins. At the rate Young is going, the Titans might be lucky to get a bag of peanuts for him. Whatever they do, they definitely need to get a QB in the next draft. Collins is doing well but that's not going to last much longer. VY is definitely NOT the future of Titans. They need to let him go sign with Houston and be a bench warmer that basks in the glow of his college career down there.
Fair enough on the steroids. I don't know why the NFL allows any of these guys to play except there wouldn't be enough of them not suspended to play the game.
However, it does more harm than good to constantly P&M about guys who, like everyone, make mistakes but play hard and overall contribute more positive than negative. They chose us over everyone else and some "fans" treat them like dirt just to satisfy their own egos or try to look intelligent. LOL
Arian Foster is a good example. He is one of the leading rushers in Vol history and helped win several games with grit and determination. Yet our armchair geniuses cackle about a few critical fumbles he had.
Josh Nunes got out of town as fast as he could when our armchair geniuses booed the team. He might have gone elsewhere anyway, but we probably missed out on a good QB for at least 2 years. And he stated that booing was a factor.
Free speech is great and some I guess believe the fun of being a fan is to carp, P&M and belittle our players every chance they get. I don't believe the negativism helps win games. I don't believe it helps motivate the players, but I certainly believe it hurts recruiting. I guess it helps some folks feel better. Maybe it's better than beating the wife or kicking the dog.

The Jets went after a QB in the 1st Rd. based on heresay essentially. Ryan had no ligitimate time with Ainge or Clemens to properly evaluate them himself. This camp would've given him the opportunity to do that. But they pulled the trigger based perception, and now....instead of opening up the competition, they are putting all their eggs into Sanchez's basket...before the kid ever hit the practice field.Rex Ryan

Since fans don't behave the same everywhere, an 18 yr-old student-athlete will take that into consideration and try to go where he feels most comfortable while playing his nonprofessional football and living his college years. Boo all you want if you really think that will help us.
I'd like to see the Titans trade Vince Young and Patrick Ramsey for a 1st Rd pick, and bring in Ainge as the back up. He's a more legit backup, IMHO, than either, and could blossom into a starter while learning from Collins. Plus, I'd like to see them take whatever trade value they get from Vince and package it with their 1st rd this year to move up and take colt McCoy or Bradford...so that they have a legit starter after Collins retires.
