Lane Kiffen would stay here until Nick Saban retires. Then it's off to his dream job.
I will never be done with the Vols, but I would have a hard time watching Lane Kiffen on the sidelines.
i think it's a tough sell for sure. what bugs me more about anything right now is the absolutes people speak in...Ainge is out if he's the guy. great. others on this board are out.
i guess my thing at this point is with the situation we're in, what on God's green Earth is productive about ultimatums?
at this point, if it were me, and i was charged with making this decision....my goal would be "options and paths".
what options do we have, and what paths are available for that to be successful? what are the roadblocks?
seems all we do is talk about the roadblocks.eace2:
Kiffin's name was brought up at the Knoxville QB Club yesterday. Hyams asked how many people in the room wanted Kiffin. Less than 5 people raised their hands and they quickly put them down.
The old folks and old money understand loyalty and Kiffin has none. He is not the answer.
I have thought the same thing. Kiffin would be Bama's #2 behind Dabo. Bama fans have told me this and I have no reason to doubt them.......
Yes, he would bolt in a heartbeat for his second dream job........... Laughing to whole time!
That being said, I'd take a chance on him now with a contract strongly in UT's favor.
Good post.
Also for those that say they would be out if Kiffin returns, I'm pretty sure when game day came they would still be wanting UT to win. Even this year and Dooley's last year I watched the games still hoping for an win even though I didn't like the coach.

Wow...He said if Kiffin is hired he is done with UT football...He absolutely hates that guy.

look at how well coached that team was in all aspects. This was with Crompton as a QB and only needed a decent FG kicker to pull that one off.
Same here. It's unbelievable how immature LK is even to this day. To be utterly shafted by him once, trolled by him, and watch him fail as a HC 3 times, it amazes me that fans want him.Failing so bad his team plays in the conference championship this weekend. Face it he isnt the same guy that left us.

If we hire Petrino I'm done till he screws us and leaves. If we hire Kiffin, I'll be embarrassed but still watch reluctantly.
It's crazy how in 1 single day mass numbers of fans are willing to settle for him. Surreal really. My mind wanders to a broader concern. What Americans will do if the power goes out or a city gets nuked etc? God forbid, but nationally people would instantly beg for the worst tyrants ever to come in and save them I think. UT football is like a microcosm of such a disaster. Troubling to watch.

You're right. He now has access to Twitter and spends way too much time on it, making himself look a fool.
You have no idea.
None.
Internet rumors and FF speculation don't count as "searches".
