"A'ight"

No he did not. Of all the things to trash him about, that isn't one. That was a pretty funny moment.

"Right now we're like the Germans in World War II," Dooley said. "Here comes the boats, they're coming. You have the binoculars, and it's like, 'Oh, my God, the invasion is coming.' "

That's not comparing us to the Nazis?

Yeah you're right. All Germans were Nazis. I forgot about that.

Way to be obtuse. Of course not all Germans were Nazis, but the government was and bulk of the military command was. He's not talking about Hausfraus sitting at home wringing their hands about where the Allied landing was going to hit.

Hey if you’ve played football in the south you are very familiar with “aight” coming out your coaches mouth

Usually it's not in agreement though. Usually, it's "You better not move out of the pocket, stand in there and throw the d*mn ball, aight!"

lol at least that's what I heard. I fancied myself a dual threat, then a Fulton linebacker almost killed me one Friday. Then I heard that lol.

What's worse is that the simile was essentially saying we were scared. I was watching that like, "Is this OUR coach? WTF!"

No Dooley, you're scared not the team!

Boom

Let’s be honest, he needs to sharpen up his public speaking, and that will come with time and experience.

In this day and age, you have to have a little polish and sound somewhat articulate when speaking in front of cameras and audiences.

I thought he sounded passionate and enthusiastic and came across as a no nonsense coach. You definitely won’t be hearing the Butch Jones cheeseball cliche’ fests anymore. But I also thought he was very rough around the edges and a little too back woods sounding.

He’ll get better.

I really thought the "country" in him was sort of refreshing. Didn't even mind the aight's. The players will probably even kid him about that. He used the word done when it should have been did twice in the presser, but that's just a country thing, too. I cant remember how many times my granny had to go get her "hair did." The only one that actually got to me was him saying exspecially and that's only because its a pet peeve of mine, along with exspresso and supposably. But, to be honest, if we are winning, I couldn't give a crap if he speaks pig latin at his press conferences.
