No. I ask every person that comes to meetings or parties if they are a lesbian. Lesbians celebrate birthdays? Who knew?

When we see the first pregnant man on a star wars program, I'm sure you'll celebrate

So you acknowledge these people exist in real life yet it bothers you that they show up on a fantasy space show.

You know the show didn’t focus on them being lesbians? It wasn’t a plot point or focus of any story line. They were just …there, much like in the real world.

I guess because I know 3 lesbian couples in my small orbit raising kids it wasn’t even a blip on my radar when they showed them.

Curious, did you have the same reaction when interracial couples first started appearing regularly in TV shows?

I wasn’t calling you racist (unless it was something that bothered you). Once upon a time interracial couples were used in shows and movies to be shocking or bring awareness that it’s ok. Now it’s something that isn’t even noted by the general audience.

So I’m pointing out that there is nothing wrong with something completely normal in the real world appearing in the backdrop of a SW show. Even one aimed at kids (which is really all SW). My kids absolutely LOVED the show and they probably didn’t even take notice of it. (And let’s not pretend SC was aimed at preschoolers. So saying “kids show” is a little misleading.)

Do I want a whole episode of the show devoted to the lesbian parents and their relationship? No of course not. Because that’s not what this show was about. The way it was inserted was fine. These kids have parents, one happened to be lesbians and their only scenes were expressing concern for their child. Who cares?

Now I’m going to answer your question in good faith about a pregnant man.

Would it bother me if it was presented in the way this lesbian couple is? More or less in the background? No not really. Nor would I be rushing to social media to “celebrate it” as you said.

Do I want a whole storyline focused around it in SW? No not particularly.
