After a loss like this, you always have your fans on the ledge, the fans that were unrealistic in the beginning, numerous troll threads just to get the true fans pissed, the pseudo fans that could careless, and the realists that try to calm everyone. One thing you get out of a moment like this is you can tell which ones are which. I always try to mark the ones that are trolls in this situation. They usually are quite obvious.

Were it not for your amazing avatar you'd be hated much more on this forum. :)

I wasn't overhyping anything.

I was expecting 6 wins.

I guess, in retrospect, that was overhyping this team and staff.

You're right, OP. We should be expecting 4 wins in Year 2.

And which one are you?

Lets not act like this season couldn't be better OP. This offense they're trying to run is gonna cost us a bowl again this year. Save the preseason crap, nobody knows what could be with any team before a down is played.

Lowered expectations is where many are right now.

No, the preseason expectations were for 6-6 or 5-7. We shall see if we meet expectations the rest of the way. Because our defense has improved so much, expectations have been skewed since week two. I understand that. I increased my expectations, but our line is what it is and was. We shall see what our future is the rest of the season. I don't want to go into the last 3 games having to win them all, but that is certainly what I figured on once I got my heart out of the way. Go VOLS! All our goals in the beginning are still there!

He gets four years minimum

Dooley got three and he took his team to a bowl

If he finishes with no bowl in 3 years and a worse record that Dooley, you can't justify giving him a 4th year

If you're just keeping him around because of the money, you're doing more harm than good

Recruiting will take a hit. Promises of playing time and improvement will be gone by then.

Yeah... it is unrealistic to expect coaches to do their jobs. Gotcha.
