What I want to talk about is just how lucky that this situation turned out the way.

With Joey, we found a kid with not only a chip on his shoulder, but someone who appreciates the opportunity he has been given to lead this program and has embraced it.

In today’s era, that’s really all you can ask for. He has the chance to lead a major SEC program that he probably never imagined playing at. Not only is he up to the task, but he brought in an energy that we haven’t really had since Hendon graduated.

I have a Puerto Rican friend that really knows nothing about the SEC or College Football. He reached out to me this week regarding Joey and said that he is now going to start watching our games. Apparently, Joey is getting a lot of recognition in their culture and the fact that they can listen in Spanish.
