Aguilar for Heisman?

But, but, but ...

Klubnick! Nussmeier! Manning!

I mean, the experts already told us, even before the season even started!
Nuss is still top 3. Beck was long considered a Heisman contender when he went into last year with Georgia. I personally do not understand the shock from some that Beck is contending for the Heisman. He’s Quinn Ewers but better because he spent multiple years in the SEC and now plays in a weaker conference while playing on cruise control.

Nuss is still up there as well as long as he keeps LSU rolling.

After 3 games, Nuss has thrown for 3 tds with 2 ints, and had run for negative yds. Heisman numbers?

I don't know about the Heisman, but we finally have a quarterback with a read and a touch. Would love to see us include a double pass play to Matthews.

Dante Moore or Carson Beck will most likely win it but I think Joey will be a finalist. Just needs to keep doing what he’s been doing and the team needs to handle business down the stretch.

Not that crazy of a thought. His odds moved up substantially over the weekend.

"Aguilar entered the season with +8000 odds to win the trophy. Going into the Georgia game, it was already cut down to +5000. That was tied for the 22nd-best odds to win the award in the country. Now, according to FanDuel on the morning of Sept. 14, 2025, Aguilar has +1600 odds to win the Heisman Trophy. This is tied for the fifth-best mark in the country."

I posted this in another thread:

Joey Aguilar in 3 games

9.5 Yards per attempt, 302 yards per game, 66.3 completion %, 9.5 TD%, 173.5 QB Rating

Rankings nationally: 10th in passing yards, 11th in yards per game, Tied for 5th in passing TDs, 15th in TD%, 16th in Yards per attempt

Hendon Hooker senior sea

9.5 Yards per attempt, 285 yards per game, 69.6 completion %, 8.2 TD%, 175.5 QB rating

Rankings nationally: 30th in passing yards (*missed last 2 games), 15th in passing yards per game, 21st in passing TDs*, 1st in yards per attempt, Tied for 18th is Passing TDs, 8th in TD%

Obviously Hooker was more of a dynamic runner, and Hooker did that while playing a full SEC schedule. But Aguilar might be putting himself into Heisman consideration.
Interceptions, that most should have been caught would make him even better than the stats.
