Saying someone was mediocre is negative? You must be new to volnation
I had an older account I forgot the password too and have been here since like 2008. I'm not going to let you gaslight me like you're not going around moping and complaining after the 1st win in the 1st game of the season.

Enjoy your misery, lol. But you're not getting my company. GLHF <3

Yeah gaslighting sure. I said he had a mediocre performance and you nominate me for negative post of the year. completing 57% of the passes ain’t exactly heisman material. We got the win, we can be happy, and still talk football with the stats from the game

sure, just explain which part was wrong…
You can take any players game and breakdown singular specific moments to say it was "bad" or "worrisome."

But the experts are praising the game. We won't know more until we get into SEC play. Again I'm going to enjoy this win and not sit around and mope because at the end of the day this game we never close, he was 3 TDs - 0 INTS and AFTER his fumble threw a huge bomb for a TD showing he wasn't rattled by the fumble.

Last response to you. Enjoy your sadness after a Vols win.

What I expected from film. Made no mistakes. Got past first read, seemed to read defense some pre-snap which might be better than Nico if he keeps it up.

A lot of high passes or slightly off to start game but seemed to settle down some. If he would have come out on fire and accurate at the start, he would have far exceeded.

Who said anything about bad or worrisome? I said he threw 57% complete, which to me ain’t exactly lighting the world on fire. Pretty sure Shaq could hit that many free throws

He fits the offense 100 times better than Nico. He missed a few throws, but he also had some dropped too. He played really well.
Had he hit those short passes, he would have had a he!! of a game. Hope he can get that fixed. I really liked his first incomplete pass. He led Matthews away from the D. Should have been caught. Didn't see him make a pass that was in real danger of being intercepted. Managed the game really well. B+

Of those 57% completions, I just wonder if all the balls that hit both hands of all those receivers were caught what that stat might be?

A lot of balls were simply dropped today, maybe 20%, that's just a guess but pretty close Id wager.

So anyway, all that 57% doesn't lie at Joey's feet ,,,,,in my opinion

You're the kind of guy that would of wanted to bench and complained about Manning after his 1st two starts for the Vols. Go sit down. (I actually am done replying to this now, lol)

Peyton's 1st to starts for the Vols:

Start 1

  • Date: September 24 1994
  • Opponent: WASHINGTON STATE
  • Result: TENNESSEE won 10-9
  • Stats: 7 completions on 14 attempts for 55 yards
  • Completion percentage: 50 percent

Start 2

  • Date: October 1 1994
  • Opponent: MISSISSIPPI STATE
  • Result: TENNESSEE lost 24-21
  • Stats: 12 completions on 26 attempts for 184 yards 2 touchdowns 1 interception
  • Completion percentage: 46 percent

he had some misses, but he had about 4 drops that would have pushed him closer to 275 total passing as well.

Didn't like the overthrows, but had some nice passes no interceptions, and no sacks. Didn't hold the ball too long, and had some nice runs. OL did a good job. Too many drops by receivers.

Who said anything about benching a player. Manning had mediocre performances too. It will be ok

He certainly fooled the folks who thought he was an int machine. Had a feeling Heuple could fix that.
Look at his track record (Heup AND Ag).

Heup seems to be able to get the best out of every QB.

And Ag, for someone who hasn't had much coaching, seems to have wheeled himself into being TN's QB out of pure willpower and being a workhorse. I'm excited to see how the season progresses for the young man.

I enjoy the fact there are sets of people here who are always negative. I feel bad for their spouses tbh. The verbal abuse is likely relentless. lmao.
How is giving his performance numbers and having low expectations for a new quarterback negative? You are throwing insults at me about verbal abuse???

There were 4 bad drops where both hands were on the ball, and 1 ultra bad drop that would have been a Joey Kent vs Alabama td if it had been caught.
