agreed but no qb has ever or will ever put every single throw on the numbers. i cant wrap my head around why anyone would pick joey as the target of their complaints. we had no running game, drops, dumb penalties, no run defense, horrible clock management, but JOEY is who people come here to complain about? blows my mind. joey is playing great ballThose balls were both a bit high, but they could have been caught. I just hope they catch them when it's the Tide and the Sooners out there. But they need to be focused against everyone. There aren't any cupcakes in the SEC.
They weren’t perfect passes into traffic. There were balks today that shouldn’t have been thrown. If you don’t see that it’s because you choose not to.throwing into traffic doesn't matter if you're capable of hitting your receivers in the hands. LOADS of NFL QBs do this and they have receivers who can catch them. if the ball is on point throwing into traffic doesn't matter
I'm not complaining about him and I hope it didn't come off that way. Those guys need to catch those balls. Found a way today, but you won't win every game in the SEC making that many mistakes. I hope CJH tells the whole team that he's proud of them for getting the W, but you can't keep making things that hard.agreed but no qb has ever or will ever put every single throw on the numbers. i cant wrap my head around why anyone would pick joey as the target of their complaints. we had no running game, drops, dumb penalties, no run defense, horrible clock management, but JOEY is who people come here to complain about? blows my mind. joey is playing great ball
I’ve said for years that football stats should be more like baseball stats. Baseball stats are so subjective, left up to interpretation, but that’s the way it should be. When the receiver makes a mistake that leads to an interception, it shouldn’t be a negative stat towards the QB. It should be counted as a “turnover” for the WR.
At least on the second his arm was grabbed by the defender before the ball reached him. Both balls would have been easier to catch thrown lower, though whether that was possible with whatever Joey was dealing with in the pocket I don't know. It used to be that the rule was one hand on it -- could have caught it; two hands on it -- should have caught it, and if that's the way you think he's got some responsibility for the INTs.And I bet Ketselman would say he should have caught both!
I was about to say the exact same thing with the Clausen referenceKid played great. He didn’t flinch all game. I thought he kept his composure and that last drive pass to Matthew’s was so clutch. He is such an upgrade over Nico. We would have 100% lost this game with Nico at QB. JA’s play reminds me a bit of Clausen.
