I just want to give a public shoutout to the Aggies fans. I have never come across such a nice fanbase.

I was constantly offered good fortune, hopes of a good clean game, beer, liquor, food, handshakes, and high-fives.

Post-game, they were even more classy. Congratulated us on a good game, and pretty much every one said we gave them the game via turnovers.

When they come to Knoxville, we need to reciprocate the hospitality.

I second the OP. Was treated very well in College Station.

Invited into random tailgates; offer much drinks, food; asked if others were treating us well. Congratulated on tough, resilient team.

Beautiful stadium. Passionate & friendly fans. Great road trip.

X3 Dittos. That's a special place up there in College Station. Corps of Cadets is a fine tradition. They even recognized Davy Crockett's direct descendant during pre-game, tying in the theme of the 30,000 Tennessee militia volunteers that came to Sam Houston's aid. Fabulous stadium, loud and passionate fans. I look forward to going back for another SEC opponent soon.

Best host fanbase I've experienced as well. Heard "Welcome to Aggieland!", "Howdy", "good luck", etc... all day long. Also had folks invite us into their tailgates, offer beverages and food, offer a ride from our parking space etc... On the other hand, one or two of our own fans in the visiting section were downright embarrassing.

Very nice people one of the nicest fan bases I've seen. Kinda surprised how many were sitting and not getting loud in my section. I was asked to sit down a few times lol

Aggie fans were very gracious. They all said to us, we should have won and they didn't realize how good we were. They all wanted to take away Alvin and couldn't believe our leading rusher didn't even make the trip. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment right in the middle of student apartments and the kids around us were great. They had grills, smokers, kegs going Friday and Saturday nite. They insisted on us giving us everything, wanted to talk football, let them know if the music was too loud, very respectful to us old farts. We had a wonderful experience in College Station. They were shocked at how many Vols showed up!

They gained a lot of respect from me when I saw them kneeling on the field for O'Brian. Them and LSU are the only other SEC teams I like.

Texas folks are pretty good folk from my personal experiences. Spent six months out there last year and made a lot more good friends there than the three years I've been living in Bama.

My buddies and I had the same experience. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family to College Station in the future. Gracious and hospitable without exception.

We didn't encounter a single jackass fan which is just plain unheard of.

Basically the polar opposite of Gainesville Florida.

My friends and I also had the best away-game experience that we could have imagined. We didn't run across a single nasty fan. Everyone was super welcoming!

Thank you Aggies! I hope we can repay the favor in Knoxville.

Hello Vols,

Now that the dust has partially settled from the epic clash that occurred on Saturday, I just had to share a few observations. First, your guys played an incredible game. They played well enough to beat anyone in the country, but the breaks went our way on that day. Second, your fans travelled better than anyone we have played in the SEC so far, and you were the classiest and most knowledgeable group that we have seen in a very long time. Needless to say that you have earned tens of thousands of fans for the remainder of your schedule, and we would love to meet again later this year. Third, it is my personal hope that our traditions and gameday atmosphere lived up to SEC standards, and that everyone who made the trip experienced a welcoming and memorable gameday. We are truly blessed to be a member of the finest organization in college sports, and it was an honor to host the REAL UT.

Thanks, and gig'em.

You would love him if he was making plays like that for the VOLS, give me a break. Let's just hope we get them in the SEC champ game.

No I wouldn't. I despise players that act like pompous pricks. And if he was Butch's player I'd hope the little punk would be benched for doing what he did to Berry to another player.

I like Warrior even more for giving him a taste of his own medicine though. If Warrior did that with no reason then I'd dislike him too.

I also felt very welcomed in College Station. I was at the game with a friend that is an Aggies Alum, so I got a really comprehensive tour of campus and College Station. Everywhere we went other Aggies fans stopped to talk to me (probably cause I was wearing checkerboard orange and white bibs) and they were extremely friendly. I truly enjoyed my time there and would return again.
