It goes without saying but everyday it is the same bunch of anti Dooley fans starting the anti Dooley threads with a different spin so they can be drama queens, or everytime you try and have a conversation with someone they feel it is their destiny to try to toot their horn.

I turn 50 next month and since I can remember I have been a Vols Fan, ushered games, heart rate goes up whenever we play, pretty much bleed orange, my daughter goes to UT, wear my orange on Sunday whether we won or lost the day before.

I am neither Pro or Anti but I do believe given the circumstances the program was under when DD came that it will take some time. I am proud to see he is bringing character guys in and off the field problems seem to have settled down a lot. I also think he needs to evaluate his assistant coaches at the end of the year and make a few changes if he wants to get some heat off of him.

pl3 is right, lose the undecided, it's a copout for riding the fence. Based on what you know today, make a decision and stick with it. It's better to be wrong than wishy-washy. IMO

Seen a lot of programs go up and down in my time and I understand that rebuilding a program takes time. Especially one that has been gutted to the extent ours was.

we have no depth and no senior leadership, we have no foundation.
CDD is rebuilding that for us by bringing in solid recruiting classes and looking for kids that will go the distance and stay out of trouble.

Once we are stable and have a solid foundation the wins will come again and so will higher recruiting classes.

one step at a time.

they have defeated those they should have and lost to the ones they were expected to. they are low on talent that is not the coach's fault. they are playing the nations toughest schedule. dooley is recruiting good players with class who willl stay around. an example i give is arkansas...a lot of seniors now and rated 6th...4 years ago same players were freshmen and had a loosing record.

Since we now have a video comparing Brays return to Resurrection, can we get a documentary about the Anti-Dools?

We ought to venture nothing where there is danger that it might be wrong.

I'm old enough to remember the late Bill Battle and early Johnny years. Those were some frustrating dark times. You can't have 3 massive recruiting failures in a row (2007-2009), allow a culture of entitlement and complacency to seep into the program then have three coaching changes in three years and expect to compete at a very high level. On top of that take away 4 of your best players on an already thin team, have virtually zero significant Senior leadership and play the toughest schedule in college football. This team's performance and record this season should not be a surprise to anyone.

This is the bottom, it will get better starting next year.

Yes, me too! The 1975 and 1976 teams make this year's team look like the New England Patriots. We had a guy from my home town (Mancheter) who was the son of a doctor. We only got a scholly because of the pull. He ended up starting on the O Line his senior year. He was like 6' 1" maybe and about 260 pounds of solid fat. Scott Farrar was the name; it was lean times in those days.

54...I've been a huge fan since my father started me on UT football at the age of 9 or 10 back in the 60's. I've seen alot...both good and bad.

Having said this....I WAS pro-Dooley but have coverted to unsure and my confidence in his ability is slowly dwindling.

You are not allowed to be unsure. You have to pick a side and everything has to be as polarized as possible.

Found this interesting. According to this poll around 75% of Volnation is still pro-Dooley and another 17% or so are unsure. Only around 8% are anti-Dooley, but man they sure know how to b**** loudly!
