After victory, Butch Jones was in office looking to fix mistakes

Butch was probably embarrassed to go home.

Being consoled by Fulmer after being taken to the limit by a nobody. Priceless!

Yeah who in the coaching world would want to get an encouraging text from a coach that won a natty after they just had a challenging game? Ludicrous to think that it could be a positive thing.

Were ok just have to be better on offense. I'll take giving up less than 20 points any game. We need to find a way to score points. The offense was pathetic against App St.

I saw BJ on the network TV halftime shows yesterday. WTF? He has time to fly out to gameday instead of taking every waking moment to prepare for VT?

Did you write this on a laptop or iPad? They are portable and you can watch game film on them. Even while doing double duty getting the UT brand on National TV. :hi:

Glad fulmer probably offered words of encouragement. If anybody, listen to that man. He had us on top.

Well, hopefully Fulmer's words included "offensive coordinator" somewhere - a topic he should know all too well himself.

Should have been an easy task. No need for pens, paper, computers, TVs, projectors, or tape. He wants to fix what's wrong, all Lyle needs is a mirror.

If you've heard one press conference from Butch, then you've heard them all

If you've heard one press conference from any coach, you've pretty much heard them all.........well except for maybe Mike Gundy("I'm a man!"), Mike Leach("Fat little girlfriends"), Dennis Green("They are who we thought they were"), and of course Jim Mora("Playoffs!?").

"I think this is the most complete the East side has been from top to bottom in a long, long period of time," Jones said. "Anyone is capable of winning in our conference. You have to bring you're A game week in and week out."

I guess this will be the replacement excuse for lack of depth we have heard the past 3 seasons.

Remember Wyoming came a few days after Fumer was forced to "resign". Give Mike Hamilton all the credit for that one.

Good point.

Fulmer certainly had his moments like this though so it was appropriate he chime in with Jones.

The Air Force game where Inky Johnson got hurt and UAB comes to mind on Fulmer teams coming out flat.

Most people here were high on Tennessee this year. All it took was one game for lots of posters to do a 180.

Seems crazy if you think about it. Still a long season to go.

And when they do turn it around everyone will say he was the best thing since oatmeal. 1 game and we are done for the season. SMH. Lets see what happens next week and then you can back the bus up.

The AD should release Butch from media responsibilities and Butch should just refrain from ever talking.

I'm sure you are part of the same group of so-called fans that were calling for Fulmer's job in 08. Look at the aftermath from that! Coach Jones has done nothing but better our team every year, whether you like it or not! As we all know, it could be much worse!!!
