After seeing what happened to Ohio State, maybe this season was a blessing?

I would categorize myself as a sunshine pumper but even I don't agree with that. I understand the losses but don't think they did us any favors. Nice try OP.

Its alot easier to be the hunter than the hunted.

Everyone thought Ohio State would run away with the championship this year because they returned essentially the same roster that won it all the year before. However, they underwhelmed and are now essentially out of the playoff. I think the off-season praise got to the heads of the players. Its alot easier to get motivated to try and prove people wrong than to prove them right.

If we stopped that 4th and 14, it would be us in Atlanta instead of Florida. I think we can all agree team 119 is talented, however, we are not good enough to beat Alabama or win the playoffs just yet. Making it to Atlanta might have given the guys a little too much confidence this off-season. Maybe they don't work quite as hard cause they think they've arrived.

Like I said it's alot easier to be the hunter than the hunted. I prefer going into the off-season with an angry team motivated by the bad taste of those losses to Florida and Oklahoma. Rather than a team that everyone pats on the back cause they barely lost in the SEC championship to eventual national champion Alabama.

You actually are glad we didn't make it to the SEC championship game because it would have given us too much confidence going in to 2016?

This is a low point on VN......congrats.

You are awesome, op.

It was a blessing to have multiple choke jobs and have our coach made fun of in other sports. To have "Butch Jones" synonymous with choking.

Praise all holy. What a blessing.

Maybe the team will adopt the motto "Unfinished Business." :thud: :p :cray:

My favorite team is Tennessee and anyone that plays Ohio State, I can't stand Urban Cryer and after what Elliot stated, it doesn't appear his players like him very much either.

Personally, I wouldn't be afraid of having two shots at bama this year.

Then talk to Urban behind the scenes in his office. A player should NEVER bash his coaches on social media. Absolutely no class or maturity

He is a 20 Year old kid so maturity is hard to come by. He is gonna get paid so he don't care. But on the other hand I would have loved to see Urban at Tennessee.

I see it differently. Michigan State's defense whipped their ass.

Holding an Urban Meyer offense to an historic low of 132 yards, including a Vanderbilt-esque 46 yards passing, indicates that you are absolutely correct. On top of that, the Spartans rushed for more than 200 yards, so they controlled both lines of scrimmage AT Ohio State.

In hindsight, your logic is valid; however, you would actually have chosen to lose and not go to the SEC championship game so the players wouldn't get big headed? I don't think so.
