call me crazy but 9-3... i see losses to bama, arkansas, and uscjr. out of those 3 i could see it being a game coming down to the 4th quarter with sc and arkansas. i could see us going to the outback bowl or capital one bowl. hopefully outback bowl since i live in tampa :D

Dooley better lead us to at least 8 wins next year. I know we will still be young, but:

Montana, Cincy, Buffalo, MTSU, Vandy and Kentucky should all be easy wins (6).

Add one other Sec E win (Florida, Georgia, or USCe)

Add one Sec W win (LSU, Ark, or Bama)

and that would be 8 wins without the bowl game. We have already proven we can beat LSU, Florida will prob still be trying to figure things out, and Ark won't have Mallet.

The sky is the limit, GBO :loco:

Why would we automatically add a win against any of these teams.

you project 5 true freshmen to play (I assume start??) and Tennessee compete for the east??

Wonder who last team was to win a division in SEC starting 5 true freshmen?? :)

This time next year the answer will ...

VOLS B____!

Being from New Orleans (and hating LSU) I can't wait to make the trip to Knoxville and get some revenge on LSU! I like this schedule, but nothing is a given. 9-3 sounds good, but you never know. I just hope we remember how we felt after the LSU game and use that to crush the Tiggers!

Although I hate the off-season, I am looking forward to getting our ducks in a row and improving in all areas. Next year looks promising and less than 8 months till kickoff!! Can't wait! :loco:

Captain Obvious here...the key games are going to be Georgia, LSU and USC. Florida, 'Bama and Arkansas are going to be tough on the road. Georgia, LSU, 'Bama and USC in a row is a killer...good news is 3 of the 4 will be at home. Injuries will always be a factor and you never know who or when they will hit...only that they will.

People pay money for this kind of insight...

JMO...Making a personal prediction and I didn't receive any money for my insight. Noticing your avatar...What do you think vandy's record will look like at the end of 2011...let me guess...another 50 years without going bowling. :loco: Just having fun. I like Vandy.

Does no one else think these guys may have a big time chip on their shoulders?

I kind of expect us to massacre someone next year. Getting boned twice this year could end up being good.

5-7 = horribly underachieving
6-6 = underachieving
7-5 = about right on point (nothing to brag or complain about)
8-4 = very attainable slight over achieve
9+ OVER achieving

Schedule is VERY favorable with some tough games but outside of @ Fla and @ 'Bama should have a legit shot in every other game and even those two big games could maybe steal one.

I'm with you, except that I'd put @Florida in the "legit shot" category unless their mess gets cleaned up awful fast.

We should be Arkansas IMO, for those that are saying his replacement is good, think back to 2010 when all the Gator fans and everyone else for that matter were saying how much better Tebow's replacement was going to be than he was.... fact of the matter is you only get a really good one every once in a while, They will have a drop off at the QB position.

I would bet that we will be undefeated entering the Bama game next year. You can go ahead and bash me all you want but The offensive system has been in for a whole year and we can now add to it along with the expeirence coming back and expeirence on the line. I know we lose a few good receivers but we are not adding to it we are reloading it. We do lose a few linebackers but the back-ups this year were very promising. I am just saying that we are in a very better shape than all the sec teams next year. We will have more experience at all the positions than anyone else. I know we are young but talented. We wont be talked about as much in the off-season but I just feel that our offense will be very hard to stop because we will be so much more dimensional. As long as the run game improves and I think it will with the line being more experienced. The only thing that would hurt us is at linebacker. And that is only early on in the season. But I think the offense will score a ton to back up the defense. You can go ahead say that I must be on crack  but I truly beleive that we will be the auburn that went undefeated and got left out. All the other teams lose ALOT more than we do. We will also get better as the season goes along. I honestly think we will be undefeated going into the bama game. The only reason I think we get beat by bama is experience and talent. If we do beat bama we will be undefeated and not make the dance because of our early ranking coming in. I just think this is the same scenario as the 98 vols. Just not on defense but a much more explosive and big play offense. just dont bash me for BELEIVING. Just think about it. We will have a better chance than any team in the east.

I'm feeling better about the Hogs after watching the Sugar Bowl last night. Mallett was throwing on the money and nobody was catching. And with Mallett gone, their passing game will be less of a threat. The odds would improve even more if the game were at Neyland.

I think we take at least one out of UGA, LSU and FL, but not Bama.

You're missing a huge, huge difference: Bobby Petrino is not Urban Meyer. Bobby Petrino knows how to coach quarterbacks. Has one of his teams ever struggled at QB?

Why do you want us to be Arkansas. Don't you like UT?:)

Montana= W (Lookout for the bighouse part 2.)
Cincy= W (What a difference a year and a coach makes)
Buffalo= W (UTc could win this game)
Mtsu=W (This is gonna be ugly)

Florida=W (Man its time to steel one and I cant think of a better one to take)
Georgia=W (No A.J and bad coaching)
Usc=L (Man its a long season)
Vandy=W (They are who we thought they were)
Kentucky=W ( Must suck to be owned)

LSU=W (Still no QB)
Alabama=L (we loose a close one on the road)
Ark.=L (Mallets backup is scary good)

LSU gets Mettenberger, JC transfer via Georgia who looked very good in JC and was the likely starter at UGA before his off-field problems. So the "still no QB" part won't likely be accurate.

2011 - 8 wins, one upset
2012 - We win the SEC Championship and make the Sugar Bowl, but the world ceases to exist on December 21st, making us unable to play. Mike Hamilton is fired and Mike Tyson is hired as the first AD of the other world.
