Is the article trying to act like a wr coach from memphis is equal to leach?

I think the staff we got is pretty solid and we should be a good team in a couple years, but i dont think we need to go all crazy trying to convince ourself of stuff.

We aren't. This scatterbrained sports writer is.

Leach would not succeed in the SEC! Pruitt, on paper, with his experience at the CHAMPIONSHIP level, makes him a much better fit for the SEC! Fulmer knows what he is doing and you gators will find out soon enough! lol

Defense wins CHAMPIONSHIPS!! Leach has not even smelled a NATY!
:hi:

Yes, because Fulmer has always had Florida’s number, right? Wasn’t Fulmer fired for fielding incompetent teams. It’s somewhat shocking that he’s even a player again at UT.

When UT rightly canned Butch, nobody, NOBODY in Vol Nation or anywhere else had Jeremy Pruitt in their top 10, or even top 20 list of candidates. When Leach was a heavy rumor I remember thinking and discussing with other Gator fans “uh oh, Leach would be a really good hire and game-changer at Tennessee.” When Pruitt was hired, my reaction was a confused “so Fulmer blocked Leach to land this guy?!”

But all of that means nothing. At this point, it’s all about hope and optimism. Vols fans hope, pray and muster-up optimism that Pruitt will work out. Florida fans hope that Mullen is going to be able to get UF back to being UF, as he seems to be making all the right moves. Only time will tell on Mullen and Pruitt.

It’ll be fun to watch.

that 2008 texas tech team, depending on your definition of, "smelled a natty," came pretty darn close

I guess UT couldn’t have hired Leach after reining Currie in from interviewing him...that would have been awkward...as if the whole process wasn’t!! 😳

Glad it’s over and hoping Pruitt takes Tennessee to where Butch couldn’t...

No, but OU won one the year after Leach left as their OC...with his QB and his offense...and current OU Coach Lincoln Riley played and coached for Leach.
