some thoughts: 1. No team in college sports is more universally hated by the other members of their conference than BYU. Everyone else in the Mountain West feels about the Cougars the way Alabama feels about Auburn. 2. I love Rocky Top. However, there's something really cool about hearing Viva Las Vegas used as a fight song. 3. The public at large loved the whole Bruce Pearl/Pat Summit scenario. Everywhere I went, when people found out I was from Tennessee, that's all they wanted to talk about. 4.Las Vegas is quickly becoming a challenger to New York as the best restaurant city in America. You can go to a great retaurant every night for a year and still not hit them all.

I got the same impression at the SECT. The fans of every team wished someone would bring that type of enthusiasm to their school.

Viva Las Vegas is nice, but it really wouldn't work well for UT.

I don't sleep much when I'm in the desert. 21 hour days allow you to accomplish a number of things.
