After a less than stellar night

If my boss curses me and fires me when I curse back he better go ahead and call the company attorney.

Hypocrisy is wrong at any level. Pretending it's okay when dealing with young charges is ridiculous

Do as I say not as I do? Not the lessons we should be teaching.

Lol, I’m not sure what kind of job you have but your boss can absolutely fire you for cursing and insulting him/her even when they do the same to you and there’s not a thing you can do about it except look for another job.

If you are the type to lay down and take it, you are correct. Me...I'm not one that will.

And I promise you if the company has an attorney worth a crap and he hears the boss cursed an employee and fired him for cursing back the boss may be jobless along with the employee. Those are easy grounds for a lawsuit.

And I've been in multiple businesses.

No they’re not grounds for a winning lawsuit. Unless you can prove discrimination or being terminated due to a protected status like race, religion, or sexual orientation, you have no case for a lawsuit based on “the boss was mean to me”

Harassment. . it's not just for the girls anymore.😁

Maybe if you are working for a tiny business that would fly. In any major corporation it wont.

And regardless of whether or not someone gets fired its hypocritical to pretend it is ok. And my grandfathers would roll over in there damn graves if they thought I let that happen without some sort of retaliation.

Yeah? and what grounds are you going to sue them for? Your attorney will be glad to take all of your money but your employer has the right to fire you if they please.

We need more Jennings and Banks. Those 2 guys play with the fire and intensity it takes to be champions. Need 20 more just like them.
This! Both of those guys are what this team needs and what we are lacking on the defense side of the ball IMO.. I have yet to see a defensive player take charge or even have a little passion like either of these guys do..

The large corporations I have been with for certain dont work that way. Anytime someone was fired the lawyers were involved.

Yes, corporate lawyers are present to prevent your boss from saying anything inadvertently that could expose them to a lawsuit such as comments about the topics I already covered - race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.

if you believe for one second corporate lawyers are going to allow an ahole run around cursing his direct reports (or anyone for that matter) your corporate experience and mine are two entirely different things.

You can quote the rule of law all you want but if you think cursing an employee and then firing him for cursing in return doesnt fall under harrassment, i suppose you'll just have to walk around wrong.

Yeah, no one ever gets fired cause they dont get along with their boss.... Ive worked for a couple big corporations and consulted for dozens of others and seen two large boatloads of people get fired simply cause they did not get along with their superior.

I don’t think many people like GetYouSomeOfThat actually read the contracts or the employment agreements they sign when they get hired on. Most often, a boss can fire you at the drop of a hat and there’s not a thing the employer can do about it because of th3 language in their signed agreement.
