Today when I went to work the adovacate & democrat (monroe co. newspaper) had a pigskin preview section. The high school part was pretty good picking sweetwater to win the county :rock: but in it is some of the most absurd predictions I have ever seen.
First, one writer said that he thought that the SEC is the best conference, but said he thought that it would send 10 teams to bowl games. I mean I know that the conference is great but 10 teams
Second, in the top 25 they had Oklahoma @ 3,Ga @ 9, USC @ 15, Missouri @ 17, and our beloved Vols @ 24
Finally, came the SEC standings the west was fairly accurate with LSU winning but the east was totally different. 1st place was none other than USC (which was ranked below Ga) who they thought would finish 11-1, 2nd was Ga who I think will be lucky to finish in 4th with a revamped o & d line and must replace oliver in the secondary. Tennessee came in fourth but by then I wasn't able to read any more b/c I was tired of reading such poor journalism.
