Advanced Metrics Nonsense

Woodson is not a good coach. All things considered, though, Melo at the 4 and Amare off the bench isn't a bad idea especially when Miami is the team you're chasing.

Amare is playing really well. 21 points per 36, and he's shooting a TS% of .656 (only 8 rebounds, though). I don't care if he comes off the bench, but they should give him some more minutes.

Amare can't physically play more minutes. Seriously, have you watched a single Knicks game? Pablo is still ballin atleast

It's impossible to run sets on a final play. There's a limited number of actual plays and every team knows them. The majority of non fast break baskets in the nba result from multiple option secondaries, iso, and to a lesser extent motion offense. Since secondaries and motion aren't designed to end at a specific time, iso is about the only way to guarantee you get a shot off.

I've watched the Knicks more than any other team. Maybe he can't go more minutes, but as long as he's shooting a ridiculous %, I'm going to assume he can.

Chandler, Kidd, Novak, Prignioni, and Amare are the core of this team. All high efficiency players. People get caught up with the notion of "impact", and these guys aren't going to give you 25 points per game, but when you have 5 guys this efficient it adds up to victories.

If you ran those 5 as your "core" players, you'd have a better shot at the number one pick than the bobcats.

A) they couldn't guard ANYONE
B) they couldn't get the ball past half court
C) they may, MAY, score 60 points

That's the worst thing you've said on this board.

So replacing some of those guys with Melo and Felton is going to improve their D? Jason Kidd and Pablo can't get the ball past half court? Seriously, you're being absurd, and you say this is the worst thing I've said on this board? They'll score (remember when people were convinced the Bulls couldn't possibly score without Rose?). I'm not saying these are the 5 guys you want on the floor at the same time, I'm just saying these guys are the biggest reasons they win.

It's either a straight up Iso play or a pick with about 8 seconds left on the clock. It's frustrating to watch.

Teams usually have plenty of time to run a set play but refuse to for whatever reason.

Money well spent. It's the New York way.

I know you're bitter as a Sox fan, but you're trying way too hard. There are several teams who have spent their money in worse ways. This isn't $118M to Rashard Lewis; without Amare, the Knicks probably don't have Chandler or Melo either.

How do yall feel about Rose being cleared to play but not playing yet and may not play this season? If it was Lebron or Howard or Kobe, people would be killing them about not coming back yet, IMO. But i think he should come back when hes ready, i was all for Howard sitting out too.

They couldn't get that contract insured.

It's his career and his life.

He needs to do what he needs to do.

Hardly trying. What exactly do I have to be bitter about?

I know that, and they should have, but like I said, dude is trying too hard.

Again, hardly trying. Making fun of the New York Knicks requires little effort, they make it easy.

And I don't hate the Knicks cause I'm a Red Sox fan, the Celtics and Knicks can go to hell, hate them equally.
