My wife and I haven't been to a game in years. We are truly excited to watch our new team head off against WVU! The last time we went to a game, it was in Knox, obviously no alcohol. Does anyone know if there will be alcohol served at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte for this event? I've been overseas for a long while and looking forward to a cold one and watching Vol Nation represent under Pruitt!

BOA stadium will have lots of beer, and they do a good job including local craft beers as well. If you're in club level, you'll have access to full bars.

My experience is that drunks are worse at stadiums that dont serve. Last game at Neyland was awful, one girl fell down the stairs with EMS attending, saw several vomits outside, and a girl falling asleep during the game. People feel like they have to slam before the game bc they dont sell.

Most of the folks at least at the few games ive attended in Pro Stadiums are hammered for first half, then it tapers off. Pretty mild.

Yep. Why is this hard for people to understand?

Are we positive on the alcohol thing at BOA? I went to the Rocky Mountain Showdown last year at Mile High Stadium and they had all of the alcohol venues closed for the game since it was a college game. Not sure if that was just a rule for Colorado and CSU or what

I agree. The problem is that a lot of college kids will still heavily binge drink before the games, even if the stadium sells it. They won't pay or can't afford the overpriced drinks in the stadium. Heck, a souvenir cup Coke is like $8 in Neyland. I can't imagine what a beer would cost.

There will be alcohol at BOA stadium. I've been to a couple of these Belk kick off games when USCjr were playing an ACC team and the booze is flowing.

Sometimes it is a conference regulation but SEC allows it for neutral site games away from college campuses.

I'm not a club member...I'm out of the country too much to join! But that is good info! We love craft beers and supporting local businesses! Thanks!

I know every bowl game ive been to in pro stadiums has had it, just in the past few years, Opening game last year at Atlanta Falcons Stadium, Music city, Outback and Gator bowl in Jax, all served booze, id be very surprised if they didnt.

Its not a huge deal to me, but if i can sit in the club seats all comfy and sip on a nice brew, id prefer that, id do it at home, why not at game...its not about getting trashed...just how i roll

Typically they will serve until the end of the 3rd quarter. I you want any for the 4th better buy it during the 3rd quarter.

The kids are going to slam the alcohol anyways. The Frats and Sororities pretty much start drinking the second they wake up on Saturdays lol

Just curious, do you recall if they pat you down?? Not that I like it mind you, but since my seats are located in the Outer Space Upper Level, not sure Jim Beam will be served there over crushed ice. thanks

Not sure where you got that information. Not "alot of kids", there are still some, but I live in MD and they have done this for a couple of years. And there have been no issues with that. The problem is optics and how the bible belt of the south makes it to be more about immoral behavior.
