A heisman winner from UT...never going to happen until espn quits picking the winner.

Nope! Hardesty, Creer, Brown, Oku, Nuke, Teague, etc., etc. To many quality backs for one guy to show out to many times. Good possibility that at least the first 3 all have between 2 and 4 100 yard games. Not complaining though! This is an excellent problem to have! I am stoked about our running game! Maybe even old school Nebraska type rushing numbers!

Peterson's strength and speed numbers as a high school senior were unbelievable.

would love for bb to end up as good as peterson. i know we've got a lot of good backs but i'd like to see us have one main guy at rb then let the 2nd and 3rd string guys split the rest of the carries.maybe redshirt one of the backs

Adrian had the benefit of a very solid 12th-year senior quarterback throwing to three future NFL wide receivers plus a good offensive line. Also, the dude was a freak. Everyone knew he'd be a stud, even as a true freshman.

i agree. just like a good running game can open up the pass, a good passing game will definately help open up the run.

Can BB actually step foot on campus and start practice before people start mentioning his name and Heisman in the same sentence?

Nothing wrong with being hyped over a recruit such as BB. In the best interest of the team I feel we have enough RB's to keep someone fresh on the field at all times to present problems for defenses in the 4th quarter which is how I feel CLK will do it.

I agree, I think anytime you have a top RB your chances of busting are really lower than in other skill positions, but still. We're talking about Lane Kiffin not settling on QB fodder next year, and probably going to still target a couple of stud receivers next year. This offense is not going to be 2000+ yard friendly. I think BB will get all the deserved hype in the world if they worry more about all purpose yards in this scheme.

I just want to see him enroll first...I think he has to enroll at the university before he can win anything and even then he has to play.

No I am not saying he will not play I am just saying that we need to let the kid at least practice before anyone says anything about heisman

Talk like this for someone who has not even taken his first practice hand-off is silly. I imagine that you have already been linked on a few rival sites and are providing numerous rival fans a good chuckle at your expense.

i dont understand why some fans torture themselves with these comparisons.
he wont be the next ap and if he starts off slow or has just an avg freshman campaign in a crowded backfield this will be the same guy roasting him and calling him a bust.

He could end up being better than AP for all we know. But it's way too early to make any comparisons to anyone. Right now, he has to beat out some pretty talented backs to even play. Gran said Hardesty is as talented as any back he has ever worked with. That should speak volumes about the untapped talent at the RB position.
