Adidas Rollout

I agree, but the Smokey Grey Artful Dodger unis have grown on me over time. They were definitely better than last seasons version. We were out there looking like Okie State
I liked the design, but what I didn’t like was if they’re trying to do an Artful Dodger design, they didn’t do the road uniforms

I really hope we go back to the traditional numbers on the football jerseys
Interested to see what happens there. At various times in the redesign process UT was planning on getting rid of the existing number font and keeping it, so I don't know where that finally landed. I know they are keeping the existing "Tennessee" and "Volunteers" wordmarks/fonts, so I would assume they'll keep the number font that goes with it, but I don't know.

Washington, Miami, Arizona State and Rutgers all kept their Nike number fonts and wordmarks when they moved to adidas, although Miami went to block numbers for football only after a couple of years.

Don't expect much to change. The average fan won't notice the difference in most on-field uniforms and that's by design.
Do you have any idea how many uniforms we will be wearing this season? I don’t mean Orange on white , Orange on Orange combos , it sounds like we have our normal home/away combos and a dark mode. Are there other options that we might go with? A throwback or something else ?

In football it will probably be just orange, white, black this season. Next year there will be either a smoky gray or a throwback.

Men’s and women’s basketball will have four options for this coming year, orange, white, black/blue and then a throwback design of some sort. The throwback for the women will probably be the one they wear for the we back Pat week games, if I had to guess.

I hate the gray. They look really really gray.

I’m guessing that the uniforms will sort of be leaked when College Football 27 starts releasing gameplay videos . Just a guess though.

I talked to one of the Adidas reps who will be working with UT. He said UT has full control and veto power this time around. my issue with Adidas is more with materials and cut. I’ve just never found their merch very compelling.

Agreed. Im not a Nike boot licker by any means, but Adidas couldn’t seem to get the color correct and their shirts fit weird. Maybe they will surprise me this time.

I think their team sideline stuff has always sucked. I will say that they made a decent Miami Hurricanes hooded sweatshirt .

If someone says they like the fit of them adidas gear, you can bet that they are a pear shaped slob.

And the color too. I had several different Adidas shirts that ranged from construction orange to burnt orange—none of which were true Tennessee orange. Fingers crossed that the program is very strict with how they want the new uniforms to look.

I've thought in the uniform game Adidas has really stepped their game up. The fact that they're giving creative license to the university means they're wanting to put out a killer product IMO.
