This is simply not true...i guess they consider memphis in the top tier!

Memphis is not a top tier school for Nike. Basically, the Nike top tier schools get the same treatment as we get from Adidas. More money, sponsorship of ALL programs, more discretion in design, a rep on campus, ect. ect. Nike would not give us all that. Adidas did.

I was curious if anyone knows when Tennessee's contract with adidas expires. I would hope Tennessee would sign with either Nike or Under Armour. I just don't see Adidas coming out with any cool hats or shirts. I think Nike or Under Armour would be great.

Friend of mine is a La Tech booster. At one of Dooley's booster club meetings a few years ago, he told them Nike was his preferred equipment vendor, really the only option in his mind, apparently because of the cred with kids. TFWIW

I thought our new apparel contract was going to be with "Derek Heart" ?!? Did that fall through?

As for golf turfs... If you want to get the most bang for your buck, check out the Adidas F series soccer turf shoes. They work just as well and I got mine for under $30

One more side note for those who mentioned PUMA as a possibility. Do a lil research. PUMA and Adidas connections are a pretty neat story but if we ever went with PUMA over Adidas, we would never get another offer from Adidas again... ever.

If a coach at a Nike school told his booster club that Nike is the best, then it must be so.

Unless you want to see horrific jerseys for big games, I'll pass.

I don't mind if UT switches to Nike, especially if it helps with recruiting. However, I would certainly hope Dooley laughs at those who design the jerseys when they present one of their ridiculous outfits they want Tennessee to wear against Alabama.

Won't be his call. Adidas has a package that includes all sports, and the administration is very happy with it.

Yeah, I knew that. I was actually trying to reference his call when it comes to the jerseys.
