The worse part of the call was robbing that young RB of his TD run. That young man fought and gave his all and got the ball over the line before he was down all for naught. Go to bat for that young man. Make a formal complaint to the NCAA and MEAN IT! This is not acceptable officiating. This cannot be looked over. What would the Alabama AD do? What would any number of other ADs do?

I agree. Enough is enough. Some officiating crews do a great job, and some could care less about getting it right. If a HC rips an officiating crew in a presser, they get fined. It’s time that street runs both ways. If a crew continues to screw up calls, purposely or not, fines, suspensions, and/or termination should all be on the table. The arrogance and blatant disregard for the integrity of the game from some of these crews is a giant black eye that has cast a huge dark shadow over several games this year. They have delegitimized “wins” for several teams this year. Someone needs to check the bank accounts of some of these officials to find which bookies they are cashing checks from.

Agreed, at some point a player is going to beat the piss out of an official and there are going to be a % that appreciates it actually happening.

If I were Danny White id have told Heupel to speak his mind about officiating and be as “spirited” about it as he pleased. Any fines would be taken care of.

😂 That’s funny as hell. You think that official has a job still if this happens to Nick Saban? The AD wouldn’t even have to pick up the phone. Sankey would have the NCAA on the phone before replay was reviewed.

I completely agree with OP. Such a fight and all out determination from him for a W and some old white dudes who care nothing for the rules of the game decide he’s a schmuck. There needs to be a higher standard of morality when dealing with folks who aren’t being paid thousands of dollars per play, but are playing their hearts and bodies out to someday get a paycheck.

Game officials performances are reviewed by their league. DW can write all he wants but they are not calling everybody back to Nashville to give us a mulligan. Alabama doesn't worry about the officials, they take care of business. How bad was the officiating in the 98 bowl game? Some of ya need to turn loose of your mommas milk

(emphasis mine)
This would not have happened if the RB was playing for Alabama and everybody knows it.
