What AD in their right mind would schedule back to back road games with Memphis then Vanderbilt...he should be fired!! Memphis will now be #1 in the AP poll...we will probably drop to 10th because the Press hates us...Duke, on the other hand can lose every other game and stays in the Top 5 consistently...We should have worn the Black Uni's against VANDY!! :rock:

I think it was Pearl's idea to schedule Memphis for last Saturday...it was the only weekend that would secure college gameday for the Vols/Tigers. And even though he knew it would create a difficult stretch, he thought the national exposure was just too good to pass up.

He was right.

whatever positive exposure we got from Memphis we just handed back. The Vandy game was national too....

I hope we drop to 5 or 6, we should. NC and Memphis should be ahead, and Texas UCLA and maybe Kansas.
The scheduling is perfect. We played 2 teams back to back, just like the sweet 16, Elite 8.
I really don't think this team is good enough to go to the final 4 as the favorite. On the other hand, as a second seed, I think we have a better chance. Less pressure, less overconfidence and less media hype. The whole country thinks we were overrated, so let keep thinking that. Let this be a wakeup call to our players, if they need it.
Remember, this isn't football so opinions don't matter. It is all about winning 6 straight in March. In my opinion, that will be easier for us to do as the underdog. This team thrives on overachieving. Go Vols!

There is absolutely no way we are going to be a #1 seed...it will be Memphis, NC, Texas, UCLA...We will be a #2 selected after VANDY, who I guarantee will be a #2 after last nights debacle...We could even drop as low as a three...remember we have Kentucky, Florida at Gainesville, and the SEC tourney where we do not fair very well...:rock:
