Everyone is buzzing about Mark Ingram at UAB. If they pull that hire and get Bill Clark in here and somehow hold on to CKS I would be so gassed up. I know a lot of people would be put off by hiring a coach we lost to, but I feel like coach Clark would bring the chips. Idk. Go Vols.

Definitely want Ingram. Don’t know enough about Clark even speculate how he would do here.

Didn’t Clark and Pruitt coach together in the HS ranks or something like that? Maybe he coached with Pruitt’s dad? Might turn some people off. I want a guy who wouldn’t leave for Alabama if he does well... Napier, Freeze, Chadwell, Malzahn, Kiffin.... basically anyone who wasn’t born and raised in Alabama.

If we hire someone good enough to be hired away by Alabama, or Clemson (Tony Elliot), then they must have done a good job and better positioned our program for the future. So I wouldn't even consider that when selecting a coach

I get that argument. I’m just wary of people having one foot out the door... felt like that’s why Pruitt failed. He wasn’t committed.

It would be good to have a coach some other teams wanted for a change, much less Alabama or Clemson.
Yeap, wish we had that problem.........

I really think Tony Elliot is a future star. I wonder if he sticks around to see if Dabo goes to Bama so he can take over at his alma mater. But Saban seems far from retirement (Lord help us) so he probably leaves before then and comes home later

What do you think about Campbell and his AD as a package? Whoever we get will have us over a barrel and will require long term deals with big protections. First two years will be tough. So we better get it right. I don't know enough about Chadwell's NCAA issues to know if the INTEGRITY LINE IN THE SAND will be a problem or not. Anybody got the details.

I’d be very happy with Ingram and Clarke

they certainly know how to handle a crisis and we got one

All would be good hires. Least likely is Campbell. He has IS rolling and why would he leave a great job for a burning pile of ash?

Ingram is a slam dunk hire. Clark I don’t know about.

REALLY need to find a proven coach at the power 5 level. My concerns with Clark are the same as they would be with Chadwell. I am curious about potentially going and getting a Bob stoops to see if he has 1 more run left in him for 5-6 years, then maybe hand the program off to a guy he groomed (sort of like Urban Meyer did with Ryan Day at Ohio State).
