AD Danny White on twitter

After the Tony V exit, the talent fee, and a very disappointing season; now is the time for diplomacy and (positive) fan engagement.
This was not a good look.
This will be forgotten about in 3 days if not before.

My personal opinion is its funny.

How many did we win before him? Also, when was the last time our football program has been this relevant at the national level?
It’s had been a while. “Everything” school is meaningless. Relevance means $hit if it doesn’t produce wins and championships.

DW is the best AD we've had in years and people have a problem? What hasn't got more expensive in the last year? How do we expect Tennessee to compete without upgrades across the board? I remember hearing about the Cincinnati Bengals when free agents went to visit cracking jokes about their practice facilities, you can't complain about recruiting and complain about prices, the money has to come from somewhere. Why is the average American lost the ability to use common sense?

Danny made a great hire in Heupel. Other than that I don’t know what he’s done that’s particularly extraordinary. His most important job is to fund the portal moves right now and I’ve not seen much happen yet. The fact that we couldn’t retain Jakobe Thomas after Nico left is an indictment on Danny’s misaligned priorities.
Even that hasn’t been extraordinary. I am thankful to be outta the dumps, but we’re coming off a year where we got gaped by Vandy at home and beat no one with a winning record. The one coach winning anything here just bailed and wasn’t hired by DW. He’s really done nothing here to support the arrogance. Shut up, get of twitter, stop engaging ******* fans because we will always exist and it buys you nothing. Spend your time trying to bring us a title instead of just more ways to line your pockets.

Doesn’t exactly bother me but it’s still stupid. What did he gain the program other than looking like a child? We aren’t excelling right now. There are a million things he could be doing, this ain’t one of them. When you’re winning titles, not getting gaped by Vandy, then you’ve got time for snarky comments on twitter.

He’s supposed to be the example. Actions reflect leadership. We sure don’t want our players/coaches getting in twitter wars each time a fan makes a silly statement.

Whole lot to unpack here. He gained no more than you gain by your comments here.

This one comment has nothing to do with not excelling and didn't keep him from the millions of things he could be doing. Just because you don't know what hes doing doesn't mean hes doing nothing but playing on the internet. You spend alot of time here, more than I bet he spends on Twitter or whatever, talking about crap that doesn't matter, are you still handling your business? Could you be more productive if you got off VN?

What does this have to do with the Vandy loss? Lol.

Are you one of the guys here that loves him some Kiffen? He's king of snarky comments on the internet. Doesn't seem to bother his disciples.

Anyway, not being a smartass. I really don't care what you think about it, to me its no big deal. One thing we do agree on is there are more unimportant important things to be triggered about.

Why be a smart ass to the AD?

Part of being an AD, along with the enormous salaries and amazing perks, is working with and dealing with the fan base. As AD, it is incumbent on you to rise above such smart@$$ery and work to serve the program, and the fans. It is NEVER a good look to 'punch down' in any power dynamic, and IMHO DW showed a lack of decorum and professionalism in his reaction to a fan who had no ability to affect him in any way.

But, if defending the rich and powerful makes you happy, who am I to judge? ;);)

Just more ways to put sales opportunities in front of people and funnel them into spending more money when going to games. I've been going to games for 20+ years and never once thought "we need a branded shopping complex next to the stadium." The Entertainment District is a way for the connected and wealthy associates of the AD and the school to profit off the fan support. Everything about it will be crowded and severely overpriced - either that, or exclusive for people who are better than all us plebians. All to pay for people who will leave Tennessee at the drop of a check.

What a world. Never thought we'd see the day when "let's block the view of the Tennessee River so someone can attach an exclusive hotel to the stadium and watch the game from their private social club" would be kosher ... but here we are.
Yep, build a hotel that most regular fans will never use.
The best neyland experience is us winning games.
We don't need a four and a half hour techno dance party or constant music and videos playing during every break.

That fan is accurate
