I know Ace. Went up to his gym a little, many years ago when Tommy Morrison was hanging out there.

Did something happen to him?

I don't get it. I mean it's a cool story but why is this boxing related article from '74 in the football forum?

I knew Ace and went to his gym for several years as I was growing up. He was a great guy that did a lot of good in the East Tennessee area! He will be missed!

He trained "BIG ZO MILER" iirc. I played a pick up basketball game with "BIG ZO". I was dissappointed he lost that fight on ESPN. Atlas did not understand why Ace was letting him fight that big of a fight. At the time Zo was coming of retina surgery and was heavier than at anytime in his career. Zo was pushing for the fight and Ace gave in. Zo just needed more time to work on his defense. I am not a big boxing fan by no means, but I have heard Ace was well respected in the boxing profession. Anyone know if Zo is still boxing?

Here and there as a journeyman. Zo's a bum dude. Good Athlete but his fundamentals are abhorrent. A 1-2-3 is as foreign to him as the Urdu language.

I had the good fortune to meet him a time or two over the years and he was a great guy. Always nice and friendly and spoke like he had known me all his life. Knoxville, East Tennessee and boxing will miss him.
