Oh I’m just trying to add a little humor with a touch of sarcasm to this fiasco. This has become the biggest cluster **** I have seen since I first heard Eastwood use the term.
Amazing that Currie did not properly vet Schiano.

Also on Golic and Trey they was giving the vols a hard time they said that report that was being passed around was not true that the guy said Shiano did not know and that Urban Meyer had vetted him and took up for him and alot of people had recommended Schiano . They also said that the fans didn't want him because he was not Gruden and that the fans thought Schiano was a bad hire that if it was say a Gruden with the false accusations that no one would have cared . They said it's all he said he said and that Schiano has said he didn't know that their is no way of knowing also said he is good enough to be Ohio state DC and he works with young men there and that it looks bad for the vols now. Don't kill the messenger. Also the BUCS vetted him and that the police made sure to arrest the ones who done wrong.

Did he even do as much as browse Schiano's wikipedia page? Per a Hyams tweet last night, Currie was not even aware that Schiano had worked under Sandusky at Penn State in the 90's. If an AD for any other SEC school claimed that sort of ignorance of a prospective head football coach's resume I would call BS... but somehow at Tennessee it's very consistent with how things are done.

Also after he was let go by the BUCS he worked at Espn and they all spoke highly of him and that he was a great coach that built Rutgers up while there was offered many jobs and turned them down cause he was committed to rebuilding Rutgers.

I don't know any inside information, but it seems we were passed over by our top targets thus we looked at Schiano. If we throw the bank at Gruden and he dosen't flinch then there is not much more Tennessee can do at that point. Hopefully we can find better options than Schiano.

If true, Peyton needs to STFU and stay out of it. Clearly his hiring judgments suck after first Currie and now Schiano. Maybe is going to the Browns front office after all.

Hyams is full of bull $#!T....5 minutes after beating Purdue last week his show got into the coaching search...he claimed his “prominent booster” said Schiano wasn’t a real candidate because of his personality and this Penn State story.........Jimmy is on fire with this HC search.

Except Gruden is a far better choice and also there are no accusations linked to him. Straw man argument by a couple goobers who don't know the first thing about anything that doesn't start with NFL.

I get what you're saying. Most of the stuff he says can usually be taken to the bank. He just gets it last. It also makes him a useful dupe when they need to lie about something (Kiffin hire, black uniforms, etc.) I don't mind him that much but, just realize, that he'll sing whatever tune the administration wants him to sing. That's why he never breaks really big stories.

So, in an age where people are always slamming the media for being "fake news" whenever something is said that is not liked, you complain about the guy not being first when he's working to get comments verified, but then proceed to slam him for not being first?
