According to Hubbs, Currie on West Coast

I refuse to get my hopes up.

I swear the makers of Xanax could make a fortune off of VolNation right now!

If he is interviewing on the left coast it doesn’t necessarily mean that the person coaches there. It could just be a meeting place. After all, didn’t Mike Hamilton interview Lane Kiffin in an Atlanta hotel room??

Yes....seriously! My neighbor is helping with the search. He was furious. His quote..."your school is being run by a bunch of f'ing idiots".

Not sure how much longer I'll be able to get the inside scoop. He was brought in by Currie.

notice the last sentence..currie is feeling the heat boys!!!

I was thinking the same thing, LA is such a massive place and a huge terminal that it could literally be anybody.

I mean...

Rocky Long
Justin Wilcox
Chris Petersen
Mike Leach
Tee Martin
Bryan Harsin

Some decent coaches...

And he'll come back with Rich Rod.

How the holy hell are they in LA and not interviewing Tee? If Tee Martin hates UT after this, I wouldn't blame him.

That said, if they're inexplicably refusing to consider Tee, it better be Mike Leach. It's tough to say how Leach would translate over to a major program (as opposed to a cellar dweller that he dramatically outperforms with), but that's a certainly a top-tier hire. Of course, silly to get our hopes up, since knowing Burns and Smithers (i.e. Haslam and Currie), it's actually Jim Mora.

If I were a coach worth anything, I damn sure wouldnt want to commit to Currie. Talk about a toxic work environment. Currie/Haslam are a total liability right now.

Kim Jong-Un is also west of here. Perhaps it was too soon to assume he turned it down. Haslam/Currie could get us a new coach and avert war at the same time! What a heroic act.

This is the best you came up with? :boredom:

Leach would just be so damn much fun. I dont care lol.

His marriage advice was freaking gold. He definitely is a character.

The man can run an offense. Now, would he be able to keep up on defense in the SEC? not sure.

Whoever we get better be a solid defensive minded coach. Alabama can play offense, but they have rings because of solid defenses year in and year out. Georgia and Auburn won the divisions because of tough defenses.

Remember 2012? We had an amazing offense, and put up a ton of points, but the Sunseri defense gave up more points than we could score.

Someone tell me why Les Miles isn't coaching UT already?

Miles coached the Tigers from 2005 through 2016. He compiled a head coaching record of 114-34 during his time in Baton Rouge. He was 62-28 against the SEC, and had two national championship appearances. Yes 62-28 playing in the SEC West!

The Tigers won the natty in 2007.
