According to Fulmer "QB job is open"

Jeezus.......lol, that is a brillant remark. Let's see based on this board he would have fired Randy Sanders a long time ago........Sanders goes to Kentucky and the board says we should have kept Sanders.....Fire Cutcliff the board says.....Hire Cutcliff the board says......Fire Chavis the board says......Chavis is great the board says...

Yea the coaches really pay attention to Vol Nation....right. NCAA coach gets his ideas from Total egomanic dumasses.

looks like you'll fit right in

One of the biggest differences between this year and 07 is, like it or not, Ainge made the 3rd and 8 and 3 and 15 plays that kept our drive alive and kept the momentum and confidence in our favor... Besides the loss of Colquitt, minor improvments in the secondary, a weaker d-line and that the fact we still cannot tackle or stop a crucial 3rd down on defense... This is the same team... Put in a efficient QB who doesn't make the bonehead mistakes and we could win out... Even against Alabama...

It's sad that I miss Eric Ainge, because he was not that good. Crompton makes him look like Tom Brady

From what I hear, Cutcliffe was higher on Coleman than Crompton from the beginning. Any chance Coleman gets to compete, too? (Sorry if this has been addressed in an earlier post.)

I've also heard Coleman might go to Duke. Any truth to that?

IMO, JC had this shot the first 4 games of this season. We are last in the SEC East, this is unacceptable. He is a head case right now, just like Ainge was for this four years at UT. If we are looking at next year, let's look at Stephans and Coleman.

Heard that here too. Cutcliffe recruited him to UT. He could transfer to Duke and at least practice with a winning team. I couldn't blame him.

I can't imagine being one of these kids watching this happen week after week.

what if he's still better than Stephens? My dad always told me not to quit a job without having another one already in place. Benching just because is stupid

Before anyone responds, I know I still need to change my username. It bears too close a resemblance to a longtime member here, but I had to get my "two cents" in before I went throught the trouble of changing my account.

Maybe I've not seen the relevant responses yet, but why aren't any fans talking about the future when it comes to replacing Crompton. It's all about now...we lost to Florida...we lost to Auburn...blah...blah...blah... People, this is just one season. Let's look ahead a year for a change (and maybe win a few this season as well).

We need to get Stephens or Coleman some reps in now while they still have a few years to "peak". Why do you think Stafford at GA is so good? Because he is STARTING in his THIRD year WITH experience!

I don't really think it's all JC's fault that he's sub-par as a QB, because his coaching staff has kept him idle for most of his entire collegiate career. However, I won't say after seeing JC perform after 4 games that he is going to be able to develop into a SEC-Calibre QB. Even if he DOES, we only have him for ONE more season.

Let's not waste talent like Hardesty (one more year), Creer (2 more years), Jones (2 more years, MAYBE), and Berry (2 more years, MAYBE) to name a few on a MEDIOCRE second-year QB.

I'm sorry, Jonathon, but you're going to need to fall victim to the MONSTER that IS SEC FOOTBALL!

It looks like CPF should have gone with the Russell kid who is smashing all the records at Tusculum.

The job is so open that they will need to hold a state lottery for the position. Get the best NCAA 2008 Xbox Live player out there!
