According to Fulmer "QB job is open"

Awesome. It takes our coach 24 hours after a game has been played to make a decision that should have been made during the game.

I would not argue with that but can see the case for not having an itchy trigger finger and thinking things would get better if he stuck with him. Letting him take all those snaps yesterday was one of the worst decisions I have seen.

I thought the reason he kept leaving him in was because he was the most consistent in practice? And if he wasn't scared of losing his spot by the second game, then he doesn't get it to begin with.

Praise Jesus, Allah, and Aunt Jemima, there is hope on Rocky Top again!

(if only for a week.)

how pissed will everyone be if crompton comes away as the winner?

If Crompton wins the job this week we are screwed. We have all seen him now and he sucks. I think it is ridiculous to make it a competition. He has had 4 games and he is worse than ever after the 4th game. Enough is enough, bench his butt!

If Stephens can't beat him out, Phil needs to go watch some intramural games this week. I'm sure there are at least a dozen guys out there that are better than Crompton.

what if he's still better than Stephens? My dad always told me not to quit a job without having another one already in place. Benching just because is stupid

"Fulmer said Saturday’s botched hand-off between Crompton and senior tailback Arian Foster that resulted in an Auburn touchdown was more Foster’s fault, but Crompton has also had exchange problems this season."

Interesting...

at some point though you have to try something new. They should have brought Stephens for a least a few tries during the Auburn game yesterday just to see what would happen. It was painfully obvious that Crompton was not going to get anything done. If Stephens failed? Bring back Crompton. Screw the whole "confidence" crap. Maybe getting pushed to the pine would have awakened something in him. Maybe it will do that this week. We shall see.

Wow. Are we supposed to be fired up over this BS? What does it take Phil? You have seen Crompton blow for 4 games. Grow a set, say Crompton has had 4 games and has shown no improvement, NONE. Say it's time to get Stephens in the game and see what he can do, and Coleman is #2 and will see plenty of time.

This is merely coachspeak. I have no idea what's going on up there, but I'm beginning to think Crompton has compromising pictures of Phil and farm animals.
