Chris Low stated that Foster is benched on a radio show just a little bit ago. Anyone that was listening or can verify the validity of the statement let us know. Another poster brought this up on a another board so I thought I would pass it on.

A poster on another board has reported hearing the same thing. I've seen nothing on the web or in print to validate it.

My friend had a good take on Hardesty. He said that if Hardesty doesn't have a big hole he kind of freezes and I noticed he was right. Maybe we just don't have a good enough line? But Hardesty has outplayed Foster all year.

I don't think any of the RB's have big holes to run through with this O-line. This group is simply not very good at run-blocking. The holes that they do produce, Hardesty is better at finding, hitting and bursting through.

That's what I like about him. He at full speed by the time he gets to the hole and just runs the ball like we haven't be able to for a long time.

Definitely. If there's isn't a hole as big as Foster's head in there then he's gonna try to bounce it outside and out-run SEC defenses, which fast RB's have trouble doing, much less him.

I believe Fulmer sort of blamed Foster for the fumble that wound up as an Auburn TD saying he didn't get his elbow up or something. If I had to choose between benching Foster or Crompton, I don't think I have to tell anybody what that choice would be. Foster tends to have a bonehead play about once or twice a game, Cromp has them almost every play it seems.

I feel bad for Foster, but I would feel worse if he left UT as the all time leading rusher. And if he does get the record they should put an Astrix by his name in the record book (no not really). As for Hardesty, hes alright, but I favor Creer.

I have all the repect for Foster. I mean there hasn't been a player with so much bad luck and burden to carry. I think this has really got in his head. But we do need to see more Hardesty and Creer. Now if we can get Stephens or BJ back there I think new life will be pumped in the offense.

This shows (if this is true) how despreate Fulmer is b/c he has stuck besides Foster thick and thin and know after a botched snap by crompton's fault, he's benching him?

except despite what our inept head coach says, Foster didn't really have anything to do with the fumble in the Florida game or the fumble yesterday

That fumble was solely on crompton. Doug matthews explained the proper way to hand someone the football today on big orange sunday. Crompton reaches with the ball and your supposed to put it on their hip.

I'm really worried about Fulmer. If he really believes his theory on the fumble, he has lost all football knowledge he's ever had.

I see worry and panic in his eyes i've never seen before. He looks done,period. I believe its just a matter of time. He put all his eggs in crompton's basket and it blew up.

I hate resorting to that kind of talk, but Fulmer did look like a beaten down old man in Saturday's post game press conferences.

What did he look like today on the Phillip Fulmer show?

I'd only blame one of those on Foster. Why wait three games to do anything about the one that was his fault? It doesn't make sense to me. And Hardesty hasn't played well enough to warrant Foster being kicked off the field. He's been good, but Clawson's offense needs a receiving RB and Foster is by far the best in that department.

I Haven't watched his show in years. I could just bring up some of the old ones from 2002-2007 and hear the same thing he is saying now. He doesn't look well. Stress can kill.

Agree 100% We need both to get the reps... and a qb that can hand them the ball properly.
