i hope you can dress and walk on. put your heart and soul into it. that will take you further than your size anyways.

C'mom Coaltrain, you know that Rivals star ratings are all that matters when it comes to evaluating a players potential. Heart and Soul is just a song!

Congratulations! I transferred to UT also and was so excited that all the hard work payed off to go there and be apart of the University. I look back on it as the best 4 years of my life. I'm only a year and a half out and miss it tons. Good luck w/ everything at school.

Oh yeah don't date the same girl for the majority of your time there unless you marry her. Trust me you will kick yourself.

Hey everyone, I know I haven't said much on this board in the past, but today I am very happy to announce that I will be attending the University of Tennessee this fall!!!!!

My name is Denton and I have been a Vol fan my entire life, my dad grew up in Tennessee and growing up in a military family kept me from where I was meant to be :)

Last year, I attended Northwest Missouri State University, and started my freshman year for the D2 Bearcat football team.

Im sure Tennessee is going to be very different from places ive lived like Missouri, Germany and England but I am excited to be around people with the same kind of passion for the school's tradition as I am.

More importantly.. This fall will be my first ever Tennessee football game! I can't wait!

Congrats bro!:peace2:

6'0" and 210lbs running a 4.5 isnt an undersized strong safety at all.

Why are you giving up football?

You guys seriously have me thinking about it. I have plenty of time before tryouts begin.

My big problem right now is.. Im a poor college kid, and work at a pizza place (Free Pizza). Im sure my diet will change once I hit Knoxville.

Strong Safety and Kick Return, the only upside I really had was that I ran a 4.5, which is good for a D2 school

Come on up to Ohio and I'll train you to be an option quarterback. Either that or a real small lineman.

Congrats Volholla! My son will be a freshman this fall, living in Hess. I went up for orientation last week and I'm not sure who was more excited, he or I.

Now, I have some official connection to the University other than season ticket holder!

Congrats, man. From my experience at UM...if you can do the workouts, and have some sort of athletic ability, you can walk on. If anything, you can help with scout team and everyone dresses for home games.

One of the greatest moments of my life is walking up the tunnel after pregame in 99 against OSU and making eye contact with my parents...then minutes later running out of the tunnel and touching the banner.

If you want it enough, go for it.

You will have a blast and meet friends you will have for the rest of your life.
The football games are pretty fun too.:)

Get used to being very distracted in class, walking to class, in the cafateria, in the bars, in the laundry room, in th book store etc...(super hot Tennessee girls)

It will be the best 3 years of your life. And that is not even including the girls!

...college? any self respecting student takes a total of 5 to get 4, come on, I put two through IU and told them both don't rush it, the real world ain't that much fun!

Congrats to volholla, walk on for sure, even if you only dress one game getting to run through the Power T would be a life memory. You can count on rousing support from the VolNation!:salute:

I just finished my first year at UT but I'm almost a junior in terms of hours. The football and basketball games are unforgettable. But I have to go on an engineering co-op in the fall and miss all the home games:cray:

I still remember pulling that envelope from the mailbox in May 1970. Good luck and have the time of your life. Take a paper bag to your first game, because I am sure that you are going to hyperventilate a few times.

And, Neyland Stadium. I do not care what your perception may be, but when that giant T opens up on that sacred ground you will swear you can see straight thru the pearly gates. Get ready for an out of the body experience!!

dude, if I was you I'd def. send in some game tape and try to walk on. You could start out on the scout team and if you impress the coaches enough you could be on the sidelines for games. It'll probably be hard, but guys have done it
