ACC vs SEC

Bowl season/playoffs would be SO much more interesting if: #1, they eliminate nonsense conference affiliations for 2nd tier bowls...a UT/Mich St or TX would be more appealing for most...and #2, go to 8 team playoff, integrating the bowls into playoffs, structuring first game as home game and next two as bowls, paying profit sharing from bowl revenues to first games of playoffs ... 8 teams yield less of "have's and have-not's" system we have now, w/ a basic rotation of 6 teams right now seriously vying for playoffs every year...Clemson, Bama, UGA, LSU, OK, OSt, w/ ND in the fray every few years. College yields December to NFL for no good reason...in my opinion.

The arrogance and dumbness of ACC teams like Louisville are due in part to SEC schools flaunting the SEC as the best conference so often. But I got a feeling this stuff is going to backfire for years to come. SEC teams will make it a mission to curb stomp ACC teams especially. They'll get the attention of teams they might otherwise not have. It won't be good for them.

The big difference between the ACC and SEC is the SEC is corrupt. Game officials deciding games along with replay officials out of Birmingham. Been a fan for 49 years and never have I seen a more corrupt group in my life. I pray the truth comes out and we witness people in hand cuffs going to prison for the rest of their lives. Get the SEC out of Alabama before the SEC goes completely away.

I agree. The old bowl system was dead when the BCS came about. It can’t be playoffs and traditional bowl system, it has to be one or the other.
I say 8 team playoff with first two rounds at higher seed’s stadium and rotate the championship game around the New Year’s Six bowls. Let all the other bowl games compete for the remaining bowl eligible teams.
Won’t happen til the bowls start losing money, but the die is cast.

All this defending MS ST is BS if you read the thread and posts in the menu just above this one. For the folks who said in that thread that the SEC results over everyone else doesn't matter, well they have no business on this thread. (Thread - Is it wrong)

The Kentucky pregame hosts are a joke they're talking like Kentucky is invincible when the Mildcats went 3-5 in the SEC:rolleyes: Virginia Tech will beat Kentucky like Tennessee did and Kentucky will get their yards but they will bog down in the red zone:cool:

Should not have been a loss for MSU. Behind the scene turmoil down there this past couple weeks most likely took the air out of their bowl prep. Hill is arguably the best RB in the SEC... not really a factor last night. LB breaks the QB's orbital bone in practice fight and it was said he popped the QB that played the game afterward. Is he still on the team today?

I think Miss State will have an interim head football coach very possibly before the 2020 Egg Bowl

Kiffin coming in state has really put the pressure on Moorhead & Miss St. He needed to win that game to turn the heat down alittle.

There's a reason Louisville didn't play Kentucky in the MCB. Kentucky already curb stomped them!

Also the SEC front office goes out of its way to make sure that none of the bowl pairings are rematches of earlier games in the season...mostly because they know that overall it would be viewed/attended less.

Lol. AAC>ACC in my opinion.
AAC has been garbage including your Tiggers. Lol. I can’t believe the biggest game in Memphis history and not only did they choke, they Cotton bowl is embarrassed they were forced to take them and have the smallest attendance since World War II

The Louisville player holding up the ACC vs SEC sign near end of win vs MSU with ACC underlined pretty much saying the ACC is better than the SEC is delusional. Yes, your ACC team won vs a SEC team. But, Louisville was the # 3/4 team out of the SEC. MSU was the #9 team out of the SEC. If Louisville plays AU, UA, or UF, they get STOMPED assuming UGA is the number 2 team in the SEC. UT probably stomps them as well. I kind of wish we were playing them in the TaxSlayer Bowl!!! I really think we win by at least 3 TDs vs IU on Thursday!!!! =)

Think he also forgot about losing to Ky about 3 weeks ago.

Miss St. was decent this year. They had a horrible bowl experience. Starting QB got his jaw broke by a teammate last week, and "Battle of the Bands" was cancelled due to weather. Just an all around suck experience. That being said, MSU should be ashamed for losing to the inferior ACC! especially Louisville!

Good post! No, we don't miss Kiffin. He will be fired from Ole Miss within 4 years. He isn't all that. PRUITT is much better than Lame!!! =)
