ACC/SEC Challenge Matchups

That’s not how it works though, teams alternate. So we were hosting, and we were gonna host a team that hosted last year, the options were pretty limited and all things considered we got arguably the best team of that available group outside of Duke.
Is that set in stone? I swear I thought I saw someone recently, maybe Florida, that had back to back either home or away. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I know teams alternate, but I’m fairly certain UNC got two straight homes games at one point otherwise they wouldn’t be playing at home this year the same year we are at home. Like I said, not a big deal. Just would prefer something to get excited about.

FSU isn’t a bad team by any means, I was just hoping for a Duke or UNC, but we certainly do have a good schedule already so maybe we are better off getting a home game against the Noles. They’ll be tough.

There's no hard and fast rule that teams alternate home & away every year. There are several instances where teams have hosted or played on the road in consecutive seasons within this event.

Also, who did people want? FSU is arguably the 2nd best ACC team that’s going on the road in this challenge, it was our turn to host, weren’t many options to choose from as far as ACC teams whose turn it was to go on the road.
This is the issue and who would have thunk it.

There aren’t enough good ACC teams to match up with the good SEC teams
