Since you're a moderator, maybe you should step in and keep a post on academics from becoming a shooting match. By the way I am an expert marksman. Political punditry is my specialty. A soldier does not take a frontal assault lying down. Take off your blinders!

I think there are a few metaphors in there somewhere.

or maybe if you start a thread talking about increased academic standards you could lay out what those are. That might help drive discussion on the topic

if it's a political discussion you desire then you're more than welcome to visit the Politics Forum on VN. We may not be specialists like you but many can hold their own

Increased academic standards is sort of like the step up from those Good! Good! Good! practices. Can't put a number on it! Get it now?

Wonder if anyone has ever thought maybe these upcoming sophomores, Thompson and Davis, left because of grades or maybe a tougher academic standard being laid down similar to what Butch Jones did in football?

I know Darius. He's a good student.

Tennessean, "Hubbs countered reports that speculated he has also asked for his release.
The shooting guard who was the gem of UT's freshman class before a left shoulder injury cut his season short said he has not yet made up his mind. "As of right now, I'm still a Tennessee Vol," Hubbs said. "I'm weighing my options with my family. I'm going to decide what is the best option for me." "It's tough," Hubbs said about the seemingly certain departure of Thompson and Davis. "We are all real close. But they have to do what's best for them."

What in the world does this post have to do with academics?

While Senior Drill is blindly speculating I'll throw in my opinion to ruin these seemingly good kids' reputation:

They're heroin addicts. Simple as that. Why else would they be transferring out of the university when a new coach comes in? This NEVER happens. The only answer is that they are lazy, good for nothing heroine addicts that cant deal with Donnie's workouts!

Original post. "Wonder if anyone has ever thought maybe these upcoming sophomores, Thompson and Davis, left because of grades or maybe a tougher academic standard being laid down similar to what Butch Jones did in football?" Nothing derogatory there. You see where the groupies have taken it! Give me a break!
