Surprised to see Florida that high. Maybe the all major in basket weaving.

Oddly enough, early 2000s UF became one of the "in" schools for engineering grads and have maintained their reputation for the most part

While I love to crack on their jorr wearing fans, it's not a bad school at all in terms of academics

A lot of STEM fields are mainly rote memorization.

The degree of anti-intellectualism on display here on a forum devoted to the University of Tennessee's athletic programs is astounding.
I don’t think anyone here is against an education. They’re just pointing out the obvious. If you choose not to see it, it doesn’t mean it’s not true, it just means it doesn’t fit your narrative.

College, while important, is a scam. Both can be true at the same time. It could be made much shorter and much cheaper, all while improving the quality of what is learned.

I now own a business. Take a wild guess how much of the 2 mandatory English classes, history, 2 biologies, etc I use to improve my life or business? About 0.00. I also took a wonderful history of rock and roll class while at UT. Great professor. It was truly a blast. And truly useless. I’m sure the same could be said for nearly every field until you get into the major specific classes.
