Oddly enough, early 2000s UF became one of the "in" schools for engineering grads and have maintained their reputation for the most part

The school isn't nearly as important as the type of degree.
A sociology degree from Vanderbilt is as worthless as a sociology degree from UT.

Neither are, but one from Vandy will open more doors.

My son wss accepted at Vanderbilt, but did not go there. The guy who talked to the students who were accepted said, "you students are not in the top five percent, you are in the top five".

Grades mean NOTHING in the REAL WORLD. Way to much is put into them.

I think you can go farther and say that most DEGREES mean little to nothing. Anything outside of STEM degrees... for the most part just mean you can be trained.

A lot of STEM fields are mainly rote memorization.
