Why would I hope for that? If I did I’d say you’re a genius for wanting to flip a switch and send everyone out into public without any testing or contact tracing... but of course I don’t think you’re a genius, so your premise is false.

Nobody is wanting to "send everyone out into public". What we're wanting is to take the information we have been given and make our own decisions.

That’s fine if you can 100% guarantee that you won’t affect anyone else with your decisions, because if you do you’re not making decisions for yourself, you’re unwittingly making decisions for others. Of course you can’t guarantee that and here we are, having to protect society from idiots who think they’re oppressed.

Nobody can 100% guarantee their decisions won't affect another person, that is ludicrous. If that was the standard for making decisions a person could never leave their house.

I've asked this question before and have received no answers so maybe you will step up to the plate. If we (a portion of society) are a bunch of idiots that need the government to protect us because we can't take information and make good decisions, why do so many liberals want more people to vote?

2. Even if they did, what does that matter in the current context? Did we stop all action against the axis just because Hitler started it?

Because most Americans are liberal and the current system dictates that even if you get a majority in the presidential election, you don’t win. That’s easy.

You should be a lot more careful about what you are positive about. There is no assumption on my part and plenty of credible information. It's not too hard to find "credible information" if your head ain't stuck somewhere where there is no light. Also there are these little things you may not be all that familiar with, common sense and logic.

Here's some questions for you to help you start your quest for "credible information."

1. Where did the virus start? (Hint: answer is in question 2.)
2. How long after it infected people in Wuhan did the PRC admit to themselves that they had a problem?
3. How long after admitting to themselves that they had problem did they inform the world that this problem existed?
4. How long after realizing that this virus could be transmitted through human to human contact did they stop international flights out of Wuhan?

That's just for starters. After "researching" answers to those questions, it should become apparent to you that China's handling of this situation created the issues down stream that has made every decision about this virus their direct responsibility. No virus, no China's trying to cover it up, no China's allowing for regional and international travel, no need for other's decisions to go about how to personally deal with it.

You want to be outraged about an individual's decision about how they handle themselves in regards to this virus? Your outrage should be more directed at the cause of the virus in the first place. I don't recall seeing that from you, but perhaps I missed it because of all the other hand wringing you do. My apology in advance if that is the case.
