Absolutely horrible loss today

Several of us have been saying that we are going to lose some SEC games. If you told me that we’d have losses At UK and at LSU, I wouldn’t have batted an eye. Need to learn from it, get better, and move on

I can agree with that point. I just think those guys missed a big opportunity today

We lost on the road in overtime to a great team. Yes, we probably lost any chance of winning the SEC championship outright with the loss today, but there's still a lot of ball left to be played, and the SEC tournament. We could still get a one seed. Even if we don't get a 1 seed, anything can happen in the tournament. If we get a favorable draw, we could go really far.
#### #1 seed or the third best team in the SEC? We still dont know, but with LSU"s best player out- this should have been a victory. This team is easy to like, but this a sweet 16 team , not enough talent for the elusive ( for us) final four. They have lost their mojo and are making errors they didnt make early in the year. Lot of tough games left and might still salvage a 1 or 2 seed if they win out. Must beat Ky and Auburn and Miss State which wont be easy. Williams is too smart to make that foul- but he did it anyway.

LSUs best player played zero minutes and they still won. This wont hurt our ranking much, but this was a bad loss in terms of confidence. Since Dec we have played 2 good teams on the road and lost both games.

I agree. I think the UK game is more than just a loss though. It's how we were beaten. Throttled. Might have shaken this team more than anyone wants to think and more than the team wants to admit. I'll be interested to see how they respond at Ole Miss with the UK rematch looming.

Overreact much you and the ones who liked your post. SMDH

I don’t think it is an overreaction at all to say this was a bad loss. You obviously don’t agree but losing to a team that doesn’t have its best player available (while blowing a 9 point lead in the 2nd half) is bad imo.

There’s a reason these players were rated as 3 starts or lower. They just aren’t as talented as the other top teams in the conference. I don’t care how much heart you have, if you are not as good as the other team, then you don’t have a great chance of winning. The defense is not very good. I wish they would stop jumping trying to defend jump shots. The chances of blocking a jumper are slim to none. When you jump, the other player drives around you, which forces a teammate to leave their man to defend yours. I bet this happened 10 times today. I know Williams is a good player, but he flops around like a fish and hits the floor many times when he shouldn’t. Alexander is as soft as peanut butter. I actually thought he had a chance to play in the NBA, but he just isn’t strong enough and doesn’t look to score enough when he is close to the basket. I know of one time when he got an offensive rebound, and instead of making a layup, he threw it out to the 3 point line. I just don’t think this team will make it very far in the tournament.

frustrating...we were out-officiated, out-mugged, out-played, and out-coached...Coach Wade is my new frontrunner for SEC COY...he was working the refs from the tip to the end of the game...poor Grant had the worst game I've seen him play...but, but, there's still a lot to play for...probably gotta win out to get a no. 1 seed now...and, as always...

GO VOLS!

Lol, Willl Wade isn’t winning COY.

Stop.

We get up on teams and let them back in. We were up by 9 late in the game and could not close the deal. We are not getting anywhere near enough from our guards. A lot of UT fans have invested their hearts into this team and watch us potentially piss away something huge at seasons end. It makes me sick to watch somebody else possibly take the sec title and maybe the conference tourney and go deep into the ncaa tourney.

I'm probably imagining it but his shoot looks different to me than earlier in the year. Probably just because they aren't going in. lol.
I thought that today Freak...sometimes it looks good and sometimes it looks odd.

I hate very much that we lost today, put me in a bad mood. I must remind myself that Life is what you make of it: I'm sorry Jesus for being bitter after a game. I've enjoyed watching these young men play all season and I hope it finishes well for them. Thank you for your grace and thank you for what i have and also being able to watch another game for a team I support

Amen

Did you read the comment I quoted?
I took the guy as talking about the regular season, LSU has A&M, Bama, Florida and Vandy left, it's very feasible that they win those 4 games, which would give them at least a share of the SEC title. We still have to play Kentucky again, though I think we've got a lot better shot at them at home.

Good grief. Same LSU team beat UK on their own court. What we are doing here with no blue chip recruits is really amazing and the VOLS have not been this competitive in a long time. So close and could have went the other way easily. Then everyone here bitc$&&@ would be celebrating. One bad game all season folks. We can redeem ourselves of that one soon. Have a beer.
