...to be a Volunteer fan today! No one gave us a chance going into this game, and for good reason. A novice squad of which half of them had never played a collegiate road game. They went into Death Valley with a chip on their shoulder, with a point to prove. They didn't throw in the towel after the first backbreaking play of the game like they may have done just a few weeks ago. They didn't surrender, but responded. They gave a top 10 ranked team all they could handle, and then some. If not for a costly mistake, they would have pulled the upset. However, above all else, THEY GAVE THEIR ALL FOR TENNESSEE. And for that, I am proud.

I think people are giving LSU too much credit. When you play a terrible offense like LSU you always have a chance to win. Check some of the threads before the game and you'll see some people gave TN a chance. When they looked at Les Miles, LSU's offense, and their ability to play down to competition they realized TN had a real chance.

I was very proud of the way our guys played today. No doubt. I am starting to worry about this coaching staff a little, though. Last game we have 10 men on the field on defense inside our own redzone. I think that happened a few times, actually. Then that last play. I mean having our players prepared to be on the field when they should be is squarely on the coaches.

I will be interested to hear what Dooley says about this tomorrow. It looked like someone on the sideline might have been yelling at Teague to get off on that final play of regulation. He had his arms stretched out like he didn't understand what someone on the sideline was saying, but even so there would have been 12. Just horrible to lose a game like that. Dooley out-Les Mile'd Les Miles.

Justin Hunter is batting about 1000% this year on big time catches, and yet we refuse to throw to him.

I think it's extremely sad and tasteless to say the least that everyone gets on here and bashes CDD. Give him a chance, nobody said this was gonna be easy. If your a VOL start acting like one!!!!!

With our protection issues it shouldn't be a surprise we aren't hitting Hunter deep more often. I am pretty sure the staff is not "refusing" to throw him the ball.

no turnovers. defense played hard as well. offense was clicking other than our weak o-line. we aren't winning, but we have a lot of heart.

I'm so proud of this team, and am sick and tired of all of the negative talk on this board. This team is growing up and improving every game and that is all we can ask. Simms is getting better, and you have to applaud him for hanging in there and being a tough kid.I believe he's going to end up being a very good qb for us. He's got a lot of heart, and so does the rest of the team, and sooner or later that's going to pay off. It did today. we just didn't get the "w" at the end. We have to be patient and soon these loses will be wins! We need to really get behind them now more than ever, and I hope we have a ton
of fans next week at GA.
GO VOLS!!!!
