About Kentuckys ten wins

I feel like in the long run, a strong Kentucky team is better for us than a weak Kentucky team. If they have a chance to beat our rivals (like Florida), or at least wear them down, all the better for us. They are equal or better than us for now. I would prefer to see us get better, not them get worse.
Exactly that’s why I didn’t understand rooting against the sec or all the Tennessee fans wanting to see bama and Georgia lose. Stronger teams in the sec can’t do anything but help your team at the end of the day. Makes your wins look better.

@ the end of the day they still had a better record than UT. With that said, I still think we win the East before KY. But nobody is close to UGA rt now.
Another thing to think about is how each program adapts to the new NIL and transfer portal. Times are really changing and it will be neat to see who changes with it or gets left behind. I can appreciate Kentucky at least trying to change and not be stuck in its ways. Tennessee seems to be doing just fine I don’t see money being a issue for UT football to keep up with

TN will be fine as long as the administration doesn’t get in the way. Everything changed in our athletic program when a new president came aboard mid 2000s or so. I think we have the rt leadership now but time will tell. Plus certain boasters have a shorter leash.

I don’t see Ky being a SEC contender, at least not in football.

That’s the thing. This isn’t the 90s. It’s actually 30 years later and times aren’t the same. Neither program is what it was in the 90s. Not even close

My point is your fan base always say “next ur is the yr….”

Stoops will only have Kentucky near the top tho. Unfortunately I don’t see him getting up to Georgia’s level it is what it is but I’ll take 10 win seasons over 2 win seasons

Hard to tell tho because honestly a lot of UK boosters have gotten pissed off at cal and the politics he has made Kentucky basketball about. Kentucky fans are kind of all in on the football program lately and a little tired of Cal and his NBA rodeo every year. Kentucky is really wanting football to do good.

OK so Kentucky won ten Games to our seven. They also had an easier schedule.

We play Alabama as our permanent west opponent and they get Miss State. Automatic loss for us.

They also got a bad LSU team at home as the other west opponent and we get the second best team in the west in Ole Miss.

We played Florida when Florida was good at their place and KY played them at home after their downfall started.

KYs out of conference schedule was LA Monroe, Chattanooga, New Mexico State, and Louisville. We played the ACC champs in Pittsburgh.

The team they beat in the bowl game Iowa lost to Purdue by 17 points.

Kentucky beat two teams with a winning record.

We lost to both teams in the Championship game, two conference champions, five teams won 10+ games. We also had two games were highly questionable calls affected us.

And we beat Kentucky!
The only thing that matters is that last line.

They also possessed the ball for about 90% of the game and still couldn't beat us. Lol.

Probably the opinion of a fan over the age of 40 that hangs on to what Tennessee did in the 90s. See what kids coming out of high school are thinking about these two programs

First things first, UK had a great season and they should be commended. You win 10 games playing an SEC schedule and you have done something right.

Now. You are correct that UT has been bad lately. Historically bad. I doubt many people here would disagree with that or argue the point. Kentucky, since 2012 has probably had the greatest decade of football in memory of anyone still living. In the end, the big bad Wildcats have beaten a UT program exactly twice since 2012-a period in which the Vols have struggled to beat, well anyone.

Your stadium is nice. Doesn't even compare to the shrines of most of the SEC teams though.

When I lived in Boston there was a saying, "he thinks who he is". It's not something you want to be said about you. About the same as "all hat, no cattle". Seriously man, congrats on the ten win season. Don't get too far over your skis though.

I’d buy one
Tennessee used to put out alot of videos like Miracle at South Bend and Back on Bourbon Street. I don't think I ever bought any. Things like that tend to collect dust. I did and do (if we did anything worth writing about) buy books though. I'm more of a reader than a watcher.
